Loved those comic covers. Super mobile! I need to rewatch the Apes movies. They are very good, but I don't remember which ones I've seen or haven't and they all have similar posters and titles after the first one. But first, I think I need to see me some Zardoz. 😂 Have a great weekend.

Poor Superman, bested by Sean Connery. I had the Supermobile when I was little. Bob Hope. Awesome! Saw the season finale of the Boys last night. A foreshadowing of this next fall/winter in the US and then the rest of the World. Phew, was worried that was the Cage movie written and directed by the Norwegian filmaker. Beverly Hills Cop 3 is unwatchable… I think it is still a Paramount only property. I have tried to rewatch it over the years but yeah… I largely enjoyed this latest one. Nice to see Joseph Gordon-Lewit again. Someone said the 4th Ape film was like Waterworld without the charm, water and Dennis Hopper 😄 So now I’m not supposed to listen to Kyle Gass anymore?!? Tons of other people I’d rather not see but hey, what are a reduced quality of life because of one …orange person for the past 10 years and next 8 years between friends? Anyhow… where are my Dixie Chicks records? 🤔

@@MortenAastad I’m behind on the Boys. Start with Goes to Hell by Alice Cooper - my fave with different types of songs to get a feel for his style. I looked up the Beatles book and it’s unavailable in streaming or print. My library has an e-copy but I usually don’t read that way.

I have that X-Men tumbler! YES Vartox's outfit looks like Connery's from Zardoz! My Wife and I just watched Axel F too. It was fun enough. I still need to see the new Planet of the Apes movies! I am a big fan of the old ones. I'm not a Trump guy either but that was a sad & horrible thing to see happen in 2024 America.

Morning, Larry. Now that you mention it, I may have seen that tumbler on your channel…it seemed familiar when I first saw it. New Planet has great special effects and it’s very good. Can’t compare to the trilogy. Nice to see on big screen for the effects but can wait for home viewing.

Glad you got to the end of The Ape! I have a funny story about that Dada record by Alice Cooper I'll tell you about sometime. Infinite Jest! I think I made it to about page 100 before I gave up. I was having the same issue you have. I still have it, though, and eventually want to conquer it. Cold Meat also sounds right up my alley. Maybe even more than the Planet of the Apes trilogy! I have that Frank Miller cover (just a standard copy). I'd like to get a nicer variant of it but it doesn't seem to sell cheap. There was X-Force 48 as a response to that and I'd like to get that comic too. I want to get the Dark Knight 3 Master Race issue 4 cover with Wonder Woman on it as well, but that doesn't sell cheaply. Everyone hated that when it came out.

I am impressed that you are reading Infinite Jest! I will learn about it through you. Joe Sinnott was Marvel’s top inker throughout the late sixties and seventies. That Hulk cover did have a Ploog look to it…it might also have been Trimpe inking himself or Marie Severin inked by Trimpe.

I think with the Tenacious D incident it might have been dark humor expressed at the wrong time...much humor goes to ugly places or forbidden topics for its punch. Unfortunately joking iff the cuff can get you into deep trouble too.

It is better to get a thumbs down than no reaction at all. KZbin algorithm is fed by these inputs no matter if it is positive or negative. Keep doing shorts, they really expand your audience. By the way I just learned a setting that you must disable on new videos to make it performer better. I will try with my upcoming video and I will share the secret if it really works. cheers!
