With the context of "bf week", I no longer see a fight to the death, I see a soul trying to reach out while corruption tried to delete senpai. At the end I think senpai/spirit sees the struggle, and decides not to be a part of it, deleting himself.

I like how corruption within the game world takes the form of literal file corruption as opposed to the usual black/pink form corruption takes. As senpai gets corrupted, his file starts glitching, BF's talking icon goes missing, etc. Just a small detail that I feel adds a lot

I love the emotions that these songs invoke. Senpai sounds very cheery and happy, which has only been done once in Corruption before (Pico). Then, you start to hear it glitch and corrupt, and you remember what the mod is, along with seeing Senpai get scared shitless. Dead pixel is Senpai fighting for his life, and the song shows that he's terrified of what's soon to happen. He understands he's not in a good spot at all. Treacherous Thorns shows that Spirit is well aware of BF's presence, and wants to stop him quickly. He's pissed, and plans to simply erase BF, just as BF attempted to do to him. Roots (My favorite) begins sounding somewhat somber, yet hopeful. Spirit is confident in the first half of the song that he'll win. By the final half, he's aware that he won't be able to stop BF from destroying him and escaping, much to his disappointment. This is one of the best weeks in my opinion. Spirit fought extremely well.

This is my absolute favorite corruption week, no mod or fan weeks have ever topped it. The songs are some of the best in FNF period, the changing characters and backgrounds are so smooth, and the pixilated Soul BF is a perfect break from the pink corruption. This week is top tier.

@@johnnycake9239 and yet he put up more of a fight. he was able to reverse the corruption on himself and manage a fight against 3 corrupteds, only losing hope and giving in due to seeing his wifes state. as well as that, the battle between corrupted bf and dd forced corrupted bf into a hibernation of sorts, allowing bf to wake up and break free. senpai simply did a few cool things

Roots to me will always be the saddest song in the corruption mods history. Him knowing the end of the world is happening and that he cant win, and accepting it and making his last song sound so mellow. It honestly makes me heart wrench, he may have been a jerk before corruption but seeing him like this makes you feel horrible for him.

Yup... Going back and looking at it again clearly shows that Girlfriend never actually was inside of the Game, At the very least her "Spirit" isn't inside, Her sprite glitches FAR too much for her to be genuinely inside of it, Especially when you compare hers too Boyfriends. It's pretty obvious. And then back toward Senpai, Senpai accepting to be deleted is definitely him admitting defeat and allowing himself to be deleted, But Spirit is a separate entity then Senpai, And I'm pretty sure you can't just "Delete" a Soul like it's some kind of Data, So I think Spirit just kind of exists in the "Void" of his broken/deleted World. Or like I said in my theory, He ends up inhabiting Soul BF to fight against the Corruption in their Week, Because it's only AFTER this Week "And the fight vs DD" that really does anything to get BF to "Wake up" from his Corrupted-self. So looking at it in a different kind of way, Spirit "Awoke" something inside of Soul BF, While DD "Awoke" something inside of Evil Boyfriend. Both Weeks were very important too stop the Corruption. "At least that's a really cool way of looking at it :P" Also one other thing I failed too mention that I noticed, To further support Girlfriend not actually being inside of the game, Notice how in Treacherous Thorns "Specifically the parts where it shows Spirit for a split second" why does Girlfriend disappear? Boyfriend is still there, But Girlfriend disappears. This shows that the Girlfriend that we see in the Game is just a program. It's not ACTUALLY her.

In either hopes of not accidentally "Awaking" something inside of herself to break out, Or simply because she/it knew how dangerous Daddy Dearest actually was. My head canon is that she's the source of the Corruption, It started with HER head ornament on the Christmas Tree after-all, So bringing the Source to face the only person capable of Un-corrupting people legitimately. Well that would be a rather stupid idea don't ya think? xD

If I’m being honest I like the original versions of Senpai (Glitch Version) and Dead Pixel. The original Glitch version was perfect as it served as the game not knowing what’s happening and the song breaking apart was a really nice touch. The new version just doesn’t sound the same at all, which isn’t a problem on paper, but it doesn’t sound like Senpai which the OG one sounded like. This and Dead Pixel I feel like the new one just didn’t need the trap beat the old one had more “emotion” in it (Like all the instruments in the background for example). Honestly I’m glad roots wasn’t changed at all. The new Treacherous Thorns is actually really nice! I like how Spirit glitching in and out is more present, as that was one of my favorite parts of the song!

Another thing is that despite senpai being trapped in the game, he's sort of the overseer or administrator of the entire place, seeing as BF can't just delete him because senpai already has that permission.

Yooo this remake was sick! I really loved that new Senpai remix! Trecherous Thorns is another favorite but nothing beats Roots. The first time I heard that song was so crazy, it's such a perfect song for Senpai/ Spirit's last stand. Glad to see that was left untouched.

Honestly, the last song definitely isn't what you'd expect from a last stand. You'd probably expect a more raging, aggressive song, or at least something more.... Hopeful? But it almost sounds like Senpai knows full well he's not winning this fight, and I think there's something about that feeling that really sets it in stone for me. It's like me to complain about these types of tones in such a battle, but I think it sets the stage just right for what this mod is trying to be. You're *supposed* to feel hopeless, you're *_supposed_* to lose your grasp on just how insane this situation is... And that song really shows the tone off. Man, this mod is gonna be amazing. You and your team have spent so much time on it, I can definitely tell you guys care about your work. It's like a little gift, getting to watch everything unfold - with a very uncanny, unsettling bow tied neatly on top.

It wasn't necessary for the Corruption to do this, Spirit has been firmly sealed for 14 years. Even if it was the corruption could just destroy the game to kill Spirit. Instead it went out of it's way to torture Spirit to death, to ensure a soul was harvested.
