6:15 i think its more likely that the drawn versions of these were used as reference for the pixel art versions, since thats how Senpai was made, where he was hand drawn first, then given to a pixel artist to convert into pixel art

the icon head animation might have been the temporary thing to later send it to the pixel artist to use it as a refference of making the animation. this was done with senpai and pixelated versions of BF and GF in the past so its not a suprised they would do this again.

@@TetraBitGaming Actually, it is exactally that. It was only used as reference for a Pixel Artist. I think Phantom Arcade even streamed doing these on the regular style, but i dont remember if he mentioned it being used this way.

@@InklingPedro He didn't ever mention that was the purpose of him doing it, but I can assume that they are references for Maowling (the pixel artist) to use as other icons in the freeplay menu animate the same way as the animations in that livestream PhantomArcade did. Also I think the Daddy Dearest icon in the character select reference over top Boyfriend could've just been a placeholder till Maowling would create an icon for Boyfriend since obviously at the time he wouldn't have had an icon for the freeplay menu until the developments towards this update. Then again who knows when which things were done as PhantomArcade mentions that the team did a lot of different things in the wait for Destination 1 and the different updates we are getting are the result of those months of nothing said about the new content, so who knows what was finished or worked on during that time

Well the thing about Tankman being playable is that it was no surprise at all, considering years ago Phantom Arcade dropped a photo of Pico, Tankman, Cassette Girl, and Hank from Madness Combat as upcoming playable characters. We've known about this for years and years, and if the list is to be believed, Tankman will be the second playable character followed by Cassette Girl and Hank, which seems to check out Imo. (Edit): Apparently new information surfaced a while back where Ninjamuffin denounced Cassette Girl as a playable character, so I guess that's a rare L for the Cassette Girl fans. It most likely means Hank's coming after Tankman. Put Hank for Week 8 on your bingo cards.

Cassette girl has been long scraped way beforeb the drama, and they've stated that they've scraped her at the first draft because they did not knew what to do with her since it did not fit the style the game was going, also dave stated taht saruky did Cassette girl better in her own mod So yeah Cassette girl is not gonna come to the game

tankman is pretty much 100% confirmed he has miss poses, and he was in the original "playable characters" teaser and phantomarcade has said that that list is still going to be in the game but "modified"

If I recall, an unused voiceline for Tankman seemingly insulting Daddy Dearest similar to how he does in the death screen for Week 7 was found, I think he mentioned how bad he was at raising his daughter, so that probably adds more evidence for him being playable.

the comically large camera pointed at bfc 'default', and the other similar Icons actually do get used! it's just that in this current update you can't place stuff in the chart editor yourself... HOWEVER if you import a chart from the previous update that uses the corresponding events they actually DO appear in the chart editor in the extra column to the right of the strum lines!

I assume this is just the further continuation of them trying to stylize the editor - in the original blog post they did make it clear all the visuals and ui stuff were only temporary placeholders, basically being default haxeui stuff - so hopefully in the far future everything looks more.. fnf-y.

Daddy Dearest would interesting for a boss character then being unlocked as playable character, but for Tankman is 100% sure confirmed as a playable character. Similar to Pico, Tankman was teased in the first trailer for the game and had concept sketches for missing a notes. So yeah, Tankman would likely be the next or potential a playable character.

Actually, the large version of randomchill (now named locked chill) is the one used, as it includes ALL animations, including locked turning into pico.

Okay, so I know the evidence shows that Daddy Dearest and Tank man could be playable in the future. Tank man is confirmed as in the first video of FNF lost bits. There's a screen to show that Pico and Tankman will be playable characters. But, it also showed that Cassette Girl and Hank J. Wimbleton would also be playable characters in the future.

some of these are used in the chart editor, accessible in-game by pressing ~ or ` on the main menu(where you pick story mode/freeplay/options..), and picking the "chart editor" option edit: the reason you didn't see them is because you need to actually place the events, or load a song with events already in it lmao

I think the dad icon is more for placement and concept art purposes, but tankman is 100% confirmed as a playable character along with Hank (from madness combat). 1 other playable character we 'MIGHT' get, but is not 100% confirmed, is maybe Gf.
