The song called Jumpman is meant to reference how Jumpman was actually Mario's original name back in that one Donkey Kong arcade game. If I recall correctly, his name was changed to Mario when a game called Donkey Kong Jr was released and was named after Mario Segale, the owner of Nintendo's first-ever warehouse. Also, yes, Mario '85 is indeed a creepypasta and there's a game about it on Gamejolt, though it's only just a demo.

I guess a good explanation for Pico being the playable one here is that he's basically the Luigi to BF's Mario. Just like how Lucas plays as Luigi in his copy of Super Mario Bros. It would make sense for us to play as Pico, a character who was also planned to be playable in FNF soon. I gotta say though this made for a really nice change from Bf and his vocals fit the music so dang well! Especially at the infinite stairs part. Also when you have the time you should really check out the OG PC Port! (Also for anyone who doesn't know that Mario is from Mario 85' and he's known as MX.)

Im not interested in many creepypastas, but Mario 85 PC Port is very Interesting Also another mod like this is in the works, I think it's called Marios Monday massacre or something. Either way it's awesome For the story, I think its about a kid named Lucas who was playing mario then somehow got absorbed into the game as luigi. That's all I know.
