(Hello there! I’ll be copying and pasting the following comment in every video for the convenience of new viewers and long time viewers alike! The collected information is taken from other commenters, feel free to correct me if I made any mistakes or if you have any more names/descriptions/bits of information to add! Have a wonderful time, everyone!) How James Is Able To Tell Which Raccoon Is Which + His Cats + Other Important Information [Raccoons] Woody: an older, bigger raccoon that's very shy towards Jame but really likes women; when James has a woman guest over he'll go right up to them. He also likes to keep his distance and will stand on his hind legs by the steps and wait for James to throw a hot dog to him and then run down the steps to eat. Scooter: the adorable one that scoots up to Jim then scurries off fast to the corner usually hoarding the hot dogs. Will usually climb on James. Scooter is the youngest/smallest/runt of the last litter and may have 1 or 2 siblings that are similar to his size. (Fun Fact: He almost pulled down Jim's pants once, haha!) When spooked, Scooter will run up the deck lattice near the door & inadvertently shut the deck lights off Sammy: jumps up next to Jim and doesn't mind being petted. Was born in April 2019 (one of Hossy’s offspring.) Buddy: Sits right up on the railing behind James to grab at his coat and demand quick feeding of dogs; usually only eats hotdogs then scampers off and tends to put his paws on his shoulders. Though there are other raccoons that mimic his behaviour, the original Buddy will give Jim kisses & will pull him back toward him by his shoulder VERY insistently. He's a rather smart, hyper-alert raccoon that would avoid the raccoons on the stairs & walk the railings to get to Jim; this habit was not taught by Jim but rather was a habit developed by Buddy's own will. Camera Man/Steven Spielberg: found in the corner top railing who fools with the camera all the time. The name (Steve Spielberg) originally came from the viewers; several other directors were suggested but James ultimately settled on Steven Spielberg! Blackie: An adult raccoon that has darker fur than the rest of the raccoons. He's come by in previous years on and off; he seems to visit in the spring and return in the fall. Old Fella/Scrappy: Part of his ear is missing. Grabby: A notably aggressive raccoon that, as claimed by Jim, will “mark you up if you don’t watch him.” It is also known that other raccoons have acted similarly to Grabby in the past. Precious: Washes and eats her hotdogs in the water bucket. Patience - might have moved onto a new territory. She was the SWEETEST most patient and gentle little raccoon. She would sit up tall like Woody, off to the side and wait patiently for Jim to give her a hotdog. She was a fan favorite and greatly missed. Hossy- a very big female who is the mother to a brood of 5 babies currently in the group. Hossy was a tough Mommy and also may have moved on for a new territory after bringing her babies to Jim this Summer. Once these babies were weaned and taking food from Jim Hossy slowly backed away and soon left for what appears for good. [Raccoon Notes] - Sammy + Buddy are older than the other babies. - Foods that Jim usually feeds the raccoons include, but are not limited to chicken hotdogs (with no nitrites/nitrates or sodium), dog food (Pedigree), bolognese, grapes, marshmallows and cookies (which are usually filled with vanilla, carrot cake, pumpkin, etc. cream. Jim never feeds he raccoons cookies with chocolate in them for they’re bad for the raccoons.) - Jim supplies the raccoons with buckets of water as well. - Not all raccoons have names. - When eating grapes, the raccoons tilt their heads back to get as much juice as possible. - All the babies this season seem to have been very young when given to Jim to finish raising and they are all very attached. However, according to Jim, they too will hear the call of nature and move away before we are ready to say goodbye! [Cats] Connor Cat: A black and white Norwegian Forest cat. Jim had adopted him following the death of Charlie, one of his previous cats. It is claimed that Connor Cat looks just like Charlie. Charlotte: A medium to long hair calico (champagne and white hued), fluffy cat. A bit more [Cat Notes] - Both cats are from a rescue centre. - Jim has couch pillows of both Connor Cat and Charlotte :) [Other Notes] - Jim does not accept donations at this time but asks that you watch the ads before and during his videos. He gets paid by KZbin Adsense for every ad viewed on the site. - Jim’s wife, who sadly passed away in 2003, was the one that had started feeding the raccoons; per her request, Jim continued feeding them. - Jim spends roughly $2000 a month on food for the raccoons. - He used to have 26 cats at one time. - Though he’s been filming since 2009, Jim has been feeding raccoons for roughly 20 years. - When he first started, there were only 2-3 raccoons. - Sometimes, other animals (e.g. blue jays) would eat the raccoon's leftovers (if there are any!) - Jim has a slight hearing problem so he isn’t actually “shouting” at Connor Cat, Charlotte, and/or the raccoons :) - Jim is a retired RCMP officer. - Jim once had a close UFO sighting when he was an officer.

I just fed my raccoons tonight some of them live in my shed and under the shed... they come around at the same time every night come to my door stand up on their hind legs and looking like little puppy dogs... sliced up apples that's their favorite anything sweet and then they get dry cat food with a big bowl of water... They certainly are not as many as you have but the few that come our precious to me at least I know I'm not the only one in the world doing this thank you for being a partner for our raccoons

Warm greetings from Singapore! It's always warm, humid and sunny here all year round! We don't have raccoons here, we always wanted to meet and pet one. These creatures are so comfortable with him , they obviously adore him. I feel so grateful seeing Mr. Blackwood patiently hand feeding and caring for these raccoons, , giving so much love and kindness to these buddies. Mr. James, you are a shining precious jewel in this dark world, Sir! What a different world it would be if everyone could be just like you, or half like you! I'm so touched seeing how you really care for animals, you place bird feeders, water buckets, dry food, etc, allowing all these hungry creatures to come and help themselves. Your love is the most constant one in this changing seasons, environment and world! Please stay safe and healthy! Love your cats too! We love you too!

What type of animals do you have in Singapore that you guys kind of feed
@trs17244 жыл бұрын
The LittleGuy Singapore is very small, with no change of seasons. We are not allowed to feed pigeons or crows, the birds will just eat leftovers from the streets or food court tables, the authorities will catch stray cats or dogs, we spotted some wild otters in our river a while back, temperature is mostly around 33-35 degree Celsius, even in the evenings or nights, humidity in the 90s. Hmm to see animals, we just go to the zoo I guess.

We don’t have them in Scotland or anywhere in U.K. I hand reared a seagull 6 years ago he still comes everyday for his fish although he is a wild bird he brings his young every year. The female comes now although she won’t take it from my hand. Like you although we are really not supposed to feed them in your own property you can. I’ll always feed my birds hedgehog fox
