Whoever was flying the A-4 yesterday evening was hustling around the pattern! And the F-100 was looking awesome also. Nice job posting all these videos, sure appreciate it. I live about a mile away, setting up my chair in backyard now :)

She is a TA-4J, and that was indeed Jet Jerod! That was just the practice for the show weekend. The full display was pretty impreassive with the pyrotechnics.

Seeing a F-100 fly is so damn impressive! I thought that I had missed my oppertunity, but thanks to the Collins Foundation, and going to Airventure, I have seen one fly with my own eyes! A huge thanks for everything that you all do, to keep them flying.

I get the same great seats whenever I go. I get to park my truck where I want, I set up my cover, get to bring my own food and drinks and not pay the high concession prices, and best of all we didn't pay $50 per person, per day to get thru the gate. We still have great seats to see the show!!!! Been doing it this way for years!!

My dad was an AF pilot, and it was shorty after his retirement in 1964 while stationed at Biggs AFB, EL Paso, Tx was the first time I ever saw the Thunderbirds. I remember looking through the chain link fence, and that beautiful F-100 left a mark in my memory that I will never fade away.

Back in the 70s, we had the F-100 in our National Guard. They were wild. Afterburner kick in on T/O sounds like a 105 Howitzer going off. BOOM & away they went - fast. And later, we had the F-4 Phantoms until the F-15s came on. This one is looking good. P.S. Glad to see the Helldiver is there too. A big fan.

Still remember being up close to these landing when the Ohio ANG had them when I was a kid. They later transitioned to the A-7, then F-16. Nothing beats the low smokey approach of an F-100 30ft above you!

If you folks are configuring your F100 as a (MISTY) Forward Air Controller then is there a vintage Nikon or Pentax camera in the cockpit for the backseat item for display purposes? The Mk-1 eyeball and a camera were standard issue to all MISTY crews.
