Love the top you are wearing, off to check that out now. Also very interested to see how the bikini turns out....the height of the bottoms looks perfect. I am a DD bust so will probably have to choose a top with more support which is fine as there are many options out there for the top. Thanks Rachel, brilliant as ever! xx

Hi Rachel, great makes and plans, I have a wristlet made from similar material to your leggings that I carry my phone in when I don't have pockets. It is basically a deep cuff doubled over with a zip 2/3rds of the way down. You could even make it with the zip on the side for better access. 😊

Love the rusty double gauze. So pretty. It was 90 degrees Fahrenheit here yesterday, so I am definitely leaning into summer sewing. £10 meter is a great price for active wear.

RE UNDULATING TUCKS- set stitch length to zero or 1 so it tacks in place. move to next one and onto the next till done. Clip in between the tacks at the eb at the end (they are smaller than back tacks)

I’m sewing a bikini with just under 2 weeks to go, don’t think I’ll manage together the other things I planned made 😂 Look forward to hearing what yours turns out like, I haven’t heard of their patterns before. I using a Patterns for Pirates one. Love your leggings. I also wear bone conducting headphones so need a pocket for phone, fed up with it bouncing in my pocket! Have a lovely weekend of nana duties 😊

Congratulations on more de-stashing. Good job. BUT - buying more - I am pretty sure, as the old comedian Tim Conway used to say: "The devil made me do it.." That is the excuse I give my hubby when a new length of fabric comes through the door. Thanks for reminding me of the Isla top. I have that one, and haven't used it in a long time. I should get it out and make a couple of tops for the cooler spring days.

Oh, Rachel. If you're rubbishy late with 3 weeks to go for holiday sewing, what should I say? I'm leaving for London, pre-retreat, on Wednesday and am sitting here still sewing the backpack to carry my sewing machine in! I have delusions of maybe still getting new PJs sewn for PJs & Pizza, but I'm nowhere near your sewing speed. I'm sure you'll get a lot of your wish list done in time. ❤

Have you thought of using a toning fabric pen on the stitch line you dislike? There is a wide variety of colours available and they are colour fast. Lots of quilt artists use them to enhance their applique. Be easier and faster than pick stitching, which I personally, detest doing. Just a thought. You are the one who will see the line every time you wear the garment and glance down, only you can decide if it will annoy you enough. I have also seen those tucks sewn down with little seed beads and others done with French knots if you go the hand stitch route.

Hi, love your leggings! If you want to get use of the ones without pockets, I got a running belt from Amazon to put my phone in. Worked great. I got the thin one with zip pockets (not like a bum bag). Have you seen the bikini in the peppermint magazine newsletter? Just a thought if you hadn't. Have a great Weekend. xx
