I've been itching to get out and do some rock hunting but it has been a really hot summer here. This was a very short hunt for me, but it was great to get out there!

Odie had a blast running around the desert with his boots on! He doesn't do good in the heat so we couldn't stay long.

We hunt different areas.

I have several spots where I love to collect in that area, including this spot, near the chimney beds (which are currently under claim), 4th of July Butte and a few others. I have been collecting in this area for about 20 years or so. When it gets cooler we will have to meet up for a rock hunt!

@@GemCabochons definitely! Looking at the surroundings, however, none of it looked familiar...yet I also hound by the Chimney Beds, not far from perhaps the active claim, which put up new signs maybe a year ago.
