I'm sure I'm not the first one to say this and it's way too late anyway, but I just wanna point it out again: The direction is easy to follow when you walk along the pathways once you realize the player's point of view is always looking from the outside into the direction of the lake in the middle. It's like the camera goes in a circle around the map of the game following your character.

@@Mephianse81 My first step is to get everyone a knife, and whoever I get the key and most kool-aid with becomes my leader. Next is to get the machete. After that, comes Jason's mom, which upgrades whatever weapon I'm currently equipped with. After I got the axe, I conquer Jason round 1. Day two, I use one of the knife girls to get the sweater, and she basically becomes my #2 if my leader falls to Jason. (I never fight him outside, because it's too random, I have better control inside) Day 3 comes the pitchfork which makes the game pretty easy from that point. I still don't fight him outside, because it's cheap. Jason has proven to be a admirable adversary, I won't disgrace him with a cheap outside bum-rush of pitchforks. Its inside one on one, a fair fight, as he is super fast inside, and really tests your reflexes. After his defeat, Jason is finally defeated...but he'll be back. If you want to know which direction to walk, best way to think about it is wherever you are standing on the overworld map, imagine rotating the map to where you are "facing" the character head on. For instance if you are on right side of the map moving Up/Down, if you rotate the map where you are "facing" the character then Up = right and Down = left. If you were on the left side of the map moving Up/Down then this would be reversed. Hard to explain but hopefully that makes some sense.

If you want to chase Jason after a fight, ignore the direction that he runs away unless you're on the outside loop. Around the caves it's reversed, and around the lake you should check the map and remember his pattern: he always goes straight to the left lake entrance to attack the kids, and if he didn't go around the caves first then that means his path will go from the upper forest to the lower forest. Also remember that the map direction is backwards if you're on the TOP half of a loop.

I used to play True Lies all the time as a kid on the Genesis! Was a really fun game for the time and eventually beat it. It does get a little redundant, though, but they do try to change it up with some different weapons. Pretty faithful to the movie, too. A couple "pro" tips: You can stand still and aim / move your weapon around. You can also dive to avoid enemy fire and get closer or further from them, avoiding damage or closing the gap by shooting while crouching at the end of the dive. Also, yes, watch the movie again! It is pretty good James Cameron flick! TLDR, grats on Friday the 13th! It is a flawed, but decent game and I think you mentioned it could use a good hack to fix some of the issues.

True Lies has always been my favorite Arnold movie, a notch above Commando, Kindergarten Cop, Raw Deal and the list goes on of course, but I think all his movies were typically a bit gimmicky/ridiculous with the one-man-army killing 1,000 guys over and over. True Lies was a real Hollywood blockbuster, still has what you're looking for with one liners and Tom Arnold definitely adds a lot to it. GIVE ME THE GODDAMN PAGE!... and the scene/dialogue with Bill Paxton in the convertible is just... check out True Lolz on here. Anyways, I'm intrigued if the person's comment on here about Friday the 13th not being truly beaten without the pitchfork is a thing. I had never seen this beaten in any sense until now.
