Incorrect, that was supposed to be the dream ending sequence of the film, but the original Jason face that Stan Winston made didn't look right, it was changed for the new one that the makeup artists came up with instead. Then we got the dead Mrs. Voorhees dream sequence.

He doesn't go after small kids or animals due to their precieved purity and inability to defend themselves. He has a moral code that he refuses to deviate from which according to Screen Rant stems from his mother's religious views. He would choose to protect them from anyone he deemed a threat to them. Kane Hodder said that harming kids and animals is a line Jason will not cross. This is why Jason will forever be my favorite slasher.

The human skull is surprisingly sturdy, as it does contain some of a humans most important bits. People have survived being shot straight through the head, wandered for nearly an hour before receiving medical aid, and been just fine. Similarly traumatic injuries, such as being bludgeoned by a strong person with a blunt object, repeated strikes to the head, has also been survived many, many, many times. Although he looks a lot less worse for wear than I would expect, I do believe he could have recovered and been able to hide and even fight like he did later.

1. Ali was always scripted to survive the first encounter with Jason in the barn, in order to return in the finale. 2. Jason wasn't as thorough as he becomes later on. Recall that Ginny, Paul and Chris survived attacks by Jason due to his thinking that he killed them. Paul survived the attack in the lodge and died outside Ginny's cabin. Ginny survived that same encounter. Chris blacked two years earlier.

My best guess is when that biker scene happens you still don't know it's not the real Jason Vorheese but someone in disguise. That being said, it's to keep that mysteriousness going making that scene look a bit more brutal. This dude was mental and finally snapped with, from what I remember, still little experience.
