Really? I mean, obviously there are lots of examples (this, RE0-2+CV, X-Files, Chaos Break, Martian Gothic, AiTD1+4, Men in Black: The Game [incredibly, that was both a thing and it was actually a full-blown fixed-camera tank-controls survival horror game]) of multiple characters/character choice. But I'd venture that there are far more survival horror games, overall, where you don't switch characters (most SHs, most Clock Towers[?], most Fatal Frames, AiTD2-3 - all huge names in survival horror that don't conform to this apparent hallmark - and then Deep Fear, Countdown Vampires, Dino Crisis, Haunting Ground and tons of other standalone games).

The actually enjoyable thing about this game was the great, atmospheric music. 00:53 Pat's stunned "What.." and the proceeding silence is followed by the impeccably timed main theme. I LOVE it.

Impatience, to me, is not taking the time to savor a new adventure. To comb through a booklet or manual so that you can blaze through a game as fast as possible comes off as impatient to me. I can't speak for you, but for me and everyone I knew growing up, getting new games was a rarity. A treat to be savored and cherished. Those first moments when the game kicks on and you hear the music, you see the sprites, and you control the hero... Those moments were magical. I'd hate to spoil that.

You can always crouch while throwing rocks to have a better hit range, also the blood is automatically used whenever your life is drained, finally, you can use the small cabins to change between the characters anytime, so you can go rescue the kids or the other characters
