Hi Rachael it looked like you had the best time on your retreat, I went on one earlier this year and had the best time ever isn’t it so nice to have guilt free sewing time with no cooking, cleaning or general chores to do, it’s not very often that it happens and I know we are so lucky to have some time away from home to indulge but equally it’s just so nice and such a treat. Love all your makes they are gorgeous x

Hi Rachael, I made some similar crochet stars a few years ago and made a garland from them. I still drag it out every year 🥰 Oh it was so wonderful to hear about your retreat and I am so envious of you all meeting up and just sewing. Can't believe you made so much! Rachael I have been making aprons for my friends and family for Christmas, those that bake and cook anyway. I’ve made them 2 each, a festive one and a general one. I’ve loved matching all the fabrics to their personalities, contrast fabric for pockets, belts and neck band, adding some binding, using some embroidery stitches on my machine, and just had a lovely time sewing them, I’ve counted and I’ve made 12 in total! 🧵✂️🪡

After watching your channel for quite a while now I have finally fallen down the zipper pouch rabbit hole. I wonder if you would be kind enough to let me know if you interface your pouches and if so what do you use. I have made just one at the moment with some iron on ‘low loft’ fleecy fabric but feel it’s a little too spongy. What do you recommend.? Thank you. Oh I’m so delighted! I love making zipper pouches!! I hope you’re having fun! So I find it totally depends on the fabric whether I interface or not. If it’s quilting cotton usually not unless I’m making a bag that I really want to stand up. Some cottons are much sturdier than others. Then I make some out of canvas which doesn’t need to be interfaced. It’s really personal preference. If I do interface I use medium woven interfacing. I hope that helps!
