Sandra Betzina is one of my favorite pattern designers. I have at least 26 of her patterns. So, I had to ask myself why I had only made 1 of her patterns in all of these years! It was time to belly up to the sewing machine and start interpreting some of Ms. Betzina's designs. This week I created a far eastern inspired pair of pants. I also created Sandra's cover up and pant set and her fanciful dress from pattern V1904. Ialso had a mini haul with some great patterns and some beautiful fabric.
Pastimes in Paradise follows my sewing makes videos as I acclimate to early retirement in Jamaica, West Indies. As a recently retired teacher /School Librarian there are a lot of projects I want to sew and make. I would absolutely love it if you were able to subscribe, and give me a thumbs up. First, I hope you and your family are safe and that Beryl leaves your country alone! Your makes are great, and so is the church hat, and I also love the blouse you are wearing as it looks so cool and pretty. The prices for that clearance fabric are crazy, and no, you are not crazy to start sewing for Christmas now - anyone who has ever been stressed at the last minute trying to get something made in time for Christmas understands that you can't start early enough. This is a gift for yourself at Christmastime, so you are ready and able to enjoy the season properly!
