@StitchHemSew ah, yes, Christmas elves help Santa, Icelandic elves have specific names and personalities, but I've never heard the name 'gonks' except in UK. Yours and many others are cute though....

Yes I think a zipped pocket would be a great idea, and definitely one I'm thinking about for the next bag. Either use the lining piece and add a zip a bit like a welt pocket or add an adapt one of the side pockets xxx
