The cross stitch heart is beautiful! I could see it sewn onto a sweatshirt. Perhaps sew it on the inside then carefully cut on the outside close to the stitching line. I hope that makes sense.

You do have a nice bunch of beautiful fabrics! Nothing is quite as inspiring a going through your fabrics once in a while 😊 Doesn't it just make you want to sit down and sew something? haha You've got a lot of lovely things to work with. 😍 If it's any consolation, it took me a while to come around to tracing off my patterns, too. It was just a matter of a little practice 😘 and now it doesn't take me nearly as long to do. Happy sewing!

Yes it has been useful. I just need some time to get a few things cut out. That is good to know about tracing!! Thanks for watching xxx
@kathiefish65775 күн бұрын
When I was tracing a pattern, I taped it to our patio door so the light could show through and make the lines easier to see. I used masking tape as it is low tack, being careful where I placed it so the pattern didn't get damaged, then I taped the tracing paper over the top.

I’m in the process of using my scraps up. I had a load of small sweatshirt/french terry pieces and sewed together large rectangles to make a new piece of fabric. I then cut the front of a sweatshirt and combined with larger pieces for the arms and back (can someone tell me why when you buy the correct amount of fabric is there always 50-70cm left and why is it always L-shaped 😂). My cotton scraps will be quilts - I just need to learn quilting first! Good luck with your process. You’ve got a lot of lovely pieces of fabric there with great ideas about what to do with them.

I was thinking summer trousers for the blue viscose until you said you were scared of them! But starting with an elasticated, wide leg pair might be an idea. And the double gauze is lovely for pyjamas, I got the fabric in a destash and made some and I love them (they are also surprisingly warm in winter yet cool in summer!)
