no double baffle? I double 1/2" or 3/4" baffles for even 10's and 12''s other than that nice work, hope it sounds good

there's suppose to be a separation where the two ports meet. How it's build most of the bass would be blowing in the opposite port and weird speaker movement could occur

It's not required actually. The bass will not blow into the other chamber.

Stuffing is of no value at the frequencies being reproduced by this box. Stuffing is to reduce standing waves inside the cabinet. The wavelengths we are taking here are simply too long.

+Cam Mims Sorry no facebook these days. Usually a double baffle will decreasing flex in the box which makes it more efficient because its converting less sound energy to kinetic energy. So if you really want to maximize the boxes potential then a double baffle is a step in the right direction

Not a lot of freeboard beyond the drivers so double baffle is not necessary for stiffness in this case.

yeah it should sound fine in a vehicle, I'm planning on installing this box in a van eventually. It sounds great! blows my old dual 18 inch box out of the water

***** Its 10.02ft^3 and its tuned to 30.27hz (I plan on adding bracing which will raise the tuning a little) I used Chris Torres "Speaker Box Tuning Calculator" along with the specs given on the Obsidian Audio website I only had the 2010 version but it looks like he updated it in 2011 www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/38791-torres-box-tuning-calculator-updated-818/

***** Thanks man glad you like the box! 30hz was just a little lower than I was planning on tuning. Mounting the subs on the top of the box shouldn't effect anything to my knowledge but I have no idea what facing the port backwards would do, your talking about facing the port at the trucks back wall right? Id try it both ways port forward vs port backward and just see how it sounds.
