There is one thing that I think you missed, and I'm not even sure if it's an actual reference or not, but the number 17 is very important in juggalo culture. All throughout the original 6 jokercards (ICP's main albums that form an allegorical narrative) the number 17 appears, and the reason for this is that ICP were dropping hints that the 17th track on their 6th Jokercard would contain a revelation about the meaning behind their music. How does this pertain to Homestuck? Well this may be the reason why "The Grand Highblood" is 17 letters rather than the standard 8. Also, and this is a stretch, it could be another reason why pivotal events, and accompanying revelations about said events, occur at some form of 4:13 units time because 4 + 13 = 17. It could be intentional; it could be a coincidence. Only Hussie knows. Love your videos regardless.

I just realized I think Gamzee killing Nepeta specifically might be a reference to the song "In My Room" by ICP, where they describe at one point killing a cat. I don't know specific details because I always skip that part of the song when I listen to it, but it's there Also, Faygo is explicitly "just soda" for trolls and humans alike, Gamzee's inebriation is purely from the sopor slime, which is comparable to either marijuana, or crossfading, which for the uninitiated is drinking alcohol and smoking weed together, but likely not alcohol on its own. I'm sure that's obvious for some, but I've seen a boatload of people speculate that Faygo might be like alcohol for trolls, which just isn't true. See Gamzee and Eridan's conversation where the former convinces the latter to try it. "It's just soda." Really, really tasty soda.

FRIDGESTUCK THEORY! Jen's Nightmare is an odd, mostly unexplained B-plot in the Gamzee Makara episode of Fridgestuck. Uploaded on October 31st, it served as the series' Halloween special. However, due to the ambiguity of the plot, many fans have been left to speculate. Jen is out in the woods somewhere, supposedly testing a feature of PHIL in which she has pre-recorded some segments of the episode and is currently filming other portions while PHIL edits the video, in order to give Jen more time to study. Essentially, she is leaving her hobby to dark powers beyond her control, whilst attempting to focus on more immediate matters. This, of course, is a parallel to Hivebent Gamzee, who would constantly trust in MiRaClEs while helping his friends begin the game session. The game session, like Jen's homework, was an immediate matter which would need to be done correctly to be the foundation of his future career. We then find that Jen has been found by some mysterious being. A being of whose existence she is aware and fearful of, but without her attempting to run from or fight it. She also begins leaving subconscious messages to herself to wake up. This is a direct parallel to Gamzee's possession by the Lord English Soul Casserole inside Lil' Cal, with Jen being overtaken by the forces of her own creation and willing servitude. Jen's wake up calls suggest she believes due to Gamzee's unpredictable nature, he wishes to escape the complete control of LE and return to merely a servant. This continues, and Jen continues to become more meta, directly addressing Hussie, speaking of the origin of the series, and finally... Waking up in the "Headspace", presumably the plane of existence containing Jen's OC's and the setting of all non-live action Fridgestuck sections. This is very similar to Gamzee's continued gain of control over the plot, until eventually he babysits Caliborn, regaining control over the beast of his own creation. His life ends in the claymation section of Caliborn's Masterpiece, transitioning animation styles like Jen's transition from live action to animated. Both Jen and Caliborn's Soul seem to be aware yet unaware of their previous events, after finally becoming one with their own fearful creations. Thus, I would have to say that it's fairly likely Jen was paralleling Gamzee's own arc in her Nightmare. But hey, that's just a theory. A Fridgestuck Theory. Given that, I'd have to give it a plausibility rating of 3 and a half demented clowns locked in refrigerators out of five.

I wanted to say something really quick on the subject of Gamzee being portrayed as a religious extremist... which is to say, I don't think Andrew Hussie is trying to cast religiously devout people as bad people. the way that Gamzee's religion is handled in general is kind of a joke in the first place... I'm not even sure what "ism" to call Gamzee's religion... did it ever have a name? all we know are facts about it, like that he worships the mirthful messiahs, he believes strongly in miracles and the dark carnival... those sorts of things. but the way that Gamzee's religion is viewed in canon vs. by the reader is a layered mess as it is. on the one hand... the idea of an alien race having a religion where the aesthetics _just so happen_ to look exactly like the aesthetics adopted by fans of the human band Insane Clown Posse is just kind of stupid. and they drink Faygo, and throw special stardust everywhere?? ridiculous. but it's supposed to be as ridiculous as possible, that's the joke. and then in canon, Gamzee starts as a peaceful dude who just believes what he believes very devoutly, and none of his friends respect his religion, but he's basically chill about it. and it's hard for you to tell how justified the other trolls are in thinking his religion is ridiculous because objectively, as a clown murder cult, it kind of is... but this should be normal in their culture, and maybe they're just being buttholes about it? and honestly both could be true at the same time and it's a joke either way because even if they are kind of being assholes... they're trolls. trolling people implies being really unpleasant, and that's an aspect of their culture too. like, the whole joke is that you think the trolls are internet trolls, but then it turns out that they're a race of aliens called trolls, who just happen to perform the same roll as internet trolls toward these humans... but then the meta pulls a mean double reacharound, and it turns out that a part of this alien culture is basically being mean and aggressive because Alternian society is just like that. so it's kind of like this is a whole race of people who act like internet trolls as a cultural norm. a lot of homestuck's jokes work on this level, and I think Gamzee's religion is the same way. when Gamzee eventually "goes insane" it's hard to tell how insane he really is. one of the defining aspects of rage as an aspect, is the idea that rage players can and will destroy what is false in order to reveal what is true. and one of the most ridiculous things about Gamzee's religion is that, underneath all the trappings, the things he believes in are rooted in objectively true facts. Caliborn, Doc Scratch, Lord English, Lil Cal... they are his mirthful messiahs, and are technically the highest power known in all of paradox space. he doesn't go insane... he switches sides and destroys anything he deems to be fake. homestuck's treatment of religion is actually really interesting because of the wealth of symbolism and references that it uses, and the way that the characters themselves might interact with concepts of religion. I mean, homestuck references a lot of religious ideas, not just from christianity, but from all over the place... it feels really equal opportunity in regards to what it considers to be legitimate. but also, as is pointed out by optimistic duelist in his homestuck explained videos, homestuck is a creation myth. it's kind of building the foundation of it's own religion of sorts, not in the sense that this is all something that has a lot of followers/believers in the canon of the story... but in the sense that if you take these events to be the truth within homestuck's canon, then this is a story about gods making a universe. it's the exact stuff that religion is made of, and accounts for previous and future iterations of existence for as far back or forward as anyone cares to go. we know it as fiction, but within homestuck, it is fact. and so many things count as gods within the context of homestuck... skia, the horrorterrors, the genesis frog, the players of the games themselves, Lord English... even Andrew Hussie himself! one question asked in OD's first homestuck explained video is (roughly) "what is your relationship with god when you can see god right in front of you and you know that god still won't save you?" homestuck is interested in being more nuanced than casting one devout religious believer as a violent extremist simply because he is devout... there is more to it.

To add to religious references in Homestuck, I have a theory for Aranea. The god tier clock can be seen as a symbol for objective morality. Aranea forced Jade's death to be considered just, possibly an allusion to the idea of "playing god." This is further supported by her actions to changed the Alpha timeline (as an extra note, the Alpha timeline is controlled somewhat by Lord English, who has gotten his powers from said clock. Also, Aranea's plan was to force him into a doomed timeline. Lord English can, in some ways, be symbolizing a god. This would be a nice addition to the idea of rage = religion, as LE is part Gamzee.)
