I’ve been running mine with a Friedman 2X12 loaded with Celestion G12-65 Heritage speakers. They are great speakers for taming amps that can lean bright without killing high end. They sort of shave off the annoying highs

Is a 2x12 loud enough to play in a band with?

Solid demo - thank you. Been eye-balling a V2 recently.

Great sounding amp….I really like the Celestion EVH IR’s with the amp….I think the PT is straight up 80’s in a box…it should come with Spandex and a pack of rolling papers!….I really like the PT a lot…

Lol. We'll have to tell Dave to include the spandex in the box!! 🤘

Nice playing and walkthrough of this amp & Features. I'm actually getting ready to order one of these, I don't have any Friedman amps in my arsenal and this would be the tone I'm looking for as the BE 100 Deluxe is a bit pricey to start with.

Thank you so much. It's such a great amp.. you'll love it... Cheers!

Great video. I've been trying to find an amp with a good clean channel AND basically what I just heard the PTv2 do in this video. Thinking it's time to abandon the clean channel requirement and get one of these and a different amp for cleans. Would love to hear a JJ Jr. comparison as well!
@TavaresProject Жыл бұрын
I have a good clean in the JJ so this was a guilty pleasure!! I will do a comparison. Thanks for watching!

I would love to see the PT-20 V2 up against the JEL 20 amp.

Me too. Unfortunately I don't have a JEL20... But I did just get the IR-J.... Which should be the same... Maybe I'll do that.

Very much considering this amp, but how does it hold up on a live situation without miking?

I haven't played it out with a band, but I have turned it up to stage commune for a short time... With ear plugs of course and it sounds incredible.

That sounds like a great amp

Love this review overall, except demonstrating each gain structure - with the gain turned all the way up to the max - that was a mistake. I really which I could find better demos that did this same thing, but with the gain knob at a more normal level, like noon or 1 or 2 o'clock. But thanks for all the other valuable segments of this vid that were helpful.

I’d love to hear a comparison between the PT2 and JJ Jr. Speaking of which, what are your thoughts between the 2?
@TavaresProject Жыл бұрын
I will do a comparison and spell out the differences... But basically ptv2 is gnarly open sounding aggressive with teeth. The JJ is smoother easier to play crunchy and nicely saturated with the JBE.... But there's more lol

@@TavaresProject Thanks for the preview, looking forward to the comparison.

Good job on the video, sound, and song. Is that an original song of yours? It’s catchy.

Thanks for the kind words. Yes it is an original and part of an upcoming song. Stay tuned!!

There are plenty, but it's a ton of work... and I'm certainly not one to do covers every night. I love doing my originals with the odd cover every now and then.
