Now this piece is fascinating for horns! Kuhlau was writing in the first quarter of the 19th century, so valve technology was early in circulating, yet the horns start on (written) Ab chords, which are extremely uncommon in natural horn writing. It’s an anomaly in the horn rep, but a very good balance of high/low horn flourish without resorting to merely the same tricks as classical era two-horn works. Thanks for the upload!

2:52 for the 2nd horn entrance. It’s not particularly challenging whether on natural or valves (back then using the valves was more commonly a way to “access” other sides of the horn as different keys more often than using it as a fully chromatic instrument), but you won’t find many pieces out there starting on a fully stopped/covered note. Just a quirk.
