Friedrich von Flotow - Martha (1847)

One of my favorites. Flotow was a genius and this is a not only a phenomenal composition in the first place but the arrangement is masterful. I am not a huge fan of opera but this has always seemed to me to be so innovative. What depth and strength. Memorable melodies are rarely unique as these.

WOW!!! My very first time listening to this opera, it´s so fresh and dynamic, totally loved it. And the recording is perfect, I can listen clearly every voice during the choruses and soloist ensembles. One of my favorite operas since today.
