Friendly Bots Named After Twitch Chat! - Modded Take & Hold - H3VR

Big thanks to Arpy for throwing the code for this idea together. After the dataknife, was curious if we could pass a username via redeem and spawn a sosig with that user's name. We can! And it got way out of hand!
Looking to write up instructions on how to do the back end of this if the mod goes public. Using Lioranboard with InstructBot (although i think it can all be done with just Lioranboard now)

You know, having twitch chatter's names on the friendly sosigs probably helped prevent friendly fire.

The thought occurs to me with this mod: TF2. 1 vs max amount of sosigs and your chat spawns you allies for fight alongside you. Orrr if you can swing it, at the end of each month, it’s you plus chat vs the boss gifted subbers. That would be insanely cool to see as reoccurring content, especially with the new flaccid steak bosses

On the topic of wanting to use a hand for grabbing a drink: I semi-seriously thought about buying a backpack style Camelbak. Good idea? Bad idea?

I got a runner's style waist pack with a mesh bottle holder, perfect for holding a Powerade bottle with water (or just Powerade if you like the taste of blue). If you've got long fingers, you can grab the bottle at your side without releasing your controller and open it with your mouth. I have stubby fingers so I'd either hold the bottle with both hands, over the controllers, or grab both controllers with one hand for a quick swig. Quick and easy in either case. And if you're into extremely long VR sessions, you could keep extra batteries and such in the bag itself! A Camelbak sounds a bit overkill to me. But there *are* those novelty baseball caps with the beer cups and straws...

@@arpy3054 Should be pretty straight forward, using API to latch onto person then just running 'GetPlayerSummaries' to return names, avatars etc.

so you can force throw items in to your hand, and they have a blue dot on the item, but how do you enable this? im on quest 2 with streamlined controls

I think it's under the input options, look for the grabbitt gloves. Trigger locks on after you see the blue dot.
