True. He was probably picking up on the fact I was as scared of him as he was of me. That was the closest I have ever been to horses and I'm sure that was the furthest he/she had ever stuck his head into a van. Win/win? Fun for sure.

Horses are curious about everything. Their noses are very tactile. They love trying to figure things out. My boy used to stick his head in the door trying to check out the rubbish bin because it had smells and he was a nosey parker. If he could have found something to eat in the bin he would have. My boy was well fed, just a typical nosey parker

@@ThisABILITYRacing yeah horses eat to survive right so they eat very basic that’s why when you give them things like beets,carrots,peppermint they love it because they are so used to a bland diet. If you ever are outside a car and want to approach a horse ,approach from the side because they may spook from the back if they don’t see you and if you approach from the front they think your a predator. If you want to pet the horse pet the shoulder first to gain trust then their face ,but with horses like this they are so friendly and they love everyone especially people with Luna bars. Sorry for the huge paragraph I’m sorta a cowboy so I just figured I’d mention some stuff to ya to keep you safe.

1. Horses are grazing animals. They walk and graze most of the day. 2. Horses are not like dogs. Dogs are predators , horses prey. 3. That was a horse that had either escaped it’s fenced pasture or it was abandoned. Please, next time, contact a local large animal doc ( they are usually the first people contacted if a horse is lost or stolen ) and the local sheriff’s office. 4. Next time no nuts. Grains and fruits yes in small amounts. 5. It was seeking a herd and safety. My best guess, since it was unafraid of your truck, is that it was abandoned.

I don't think he was abandoned. There was a horse trailer in the background and a fenced in pasture. I think that he got loose, he looked pretty well fed and kept. And he was friendly.

Yep, there was a house nearby and a fenced in area that im guessing the horse escaped from. We drove back by and there was a car at the house. Near Cumberland State Forest in Virginia.
