The only downside I would have with this set (if I got it) would be that these are the BROADCAST versions, meaning they lack the extended/deleted scenes that come on the DVD sets.

@GreekedOutNation The one thing I don't like about that Blu-ray set of friends is that they don't have the extended episodes like the DVD does....... I really like the director's cut of the finale!!! episode

Can you describe what extra content you are talking about? Is it every episode, or just particular ones?

+GeekedOutNation but just think about this though, you paying a subscription each month to watch it, and Netflix just owns the syndication rights so the episodes could be taken down at any point. with a DVD, you own it so you don't have to worry about it being taken off

The episodes on the dvd r the special extended versions tht the producers made for the dvd because Warner bros r selfish instead of spending more money they decided to cut out the scenes in blu Ray and on netflix

Absolute NoNSense The Blu Ray set here is the original broadcast episodes (just like on Netflix). They don't have the extended episodes that the original DVDs had. I had to throw in the towel on watching the show on Netflix because after watching the extended episodes on DVD for so long, the episodes seem incomplete without the added scenes.

The fact that the discs are in those slots is a major deal breaker. Horrible design in that respect. Discs are poorly protected and guaranteed to get scratched. *sigh* Guess I'll stick with the standard editions....
