Elliot Gould is a fantastic actor. They were fortunate to have him work on Friends. I quite enjoyed Jack. He had this world that worked for him. As with Chandler, you gain the impression that Jack has done well in life and is happy about his life. Although, like Chandler, no one seems to actually know what it is Jack truly did. Gives lots of legal advice but only 'worked in law'. Only thing that seems consistent is that he was in armed forces for some time. Judy, well Judy is obviously loved by Jack and Ross and I know Monica does her best to survive the treatment her mom doles out on a flagrantly constant criticism Ross can do no wrong in Judy's eyes and clearly rates as the apple of the eye of his parents. To be completely honest Jack'S treatment of Monica is a bit 'off' but I think that's the way Jack approaches all things family. It's' Obvious that Jack keeps track about what happens in Monica's life far more than Judy keeps tracksite does.
