It may be the writing, it may be his acting or both, but he just has a real relationship with all of them, at least as much as someone introduced so late could have. Noface121 I think of him as the young, immature, party guy having fun and hooking up with lots of women; and then eventually settling down with his true love and being faithful to her. Even though we never see him finding The One (he was the only single one at the end of “Friends” and “Joey” flopped so bad that it was cancelled before he could find true love), I’d like to think that he eventually found her. He is definitely capable of being a loving, caring, person. We saw that when he was with Rachel. I think it’s a shame that they didn’t wind up together.

@@ronmathewjoe The girl's name was "Erin", Rachel and Phoebe found her to be a really great match for Joey so they told him to consider Erin which he eventually did, but this time Erin turned out to be the "loner", but Joey never bad-mouthed her, neither did he say anything to Charlie after she, without even talking to Joey, made out with Ross. So in a way he has flaws, cause he is basically a "Casanova", maybe a little childish and spoilt at times, but those are not enough to decide that he is a bad person, he is actually a really great friend, cause he sacrificed a lot for his friends and thoroughly loves them, but my favourite is Chandler though, cause I relate to him the most!😅

Yeah, family is important, we always knew that (also matters the way it does). Anyway, what I like the most of this show is exactly that, the way they all friend rely in each other, trust in them, have a incredibly strong bond leaving their families behind, actually the families of the 6 main characters play a secondary part, thay are like "there" if anything happens, but their real families are them, the 6 friends. At that moment it was like that. Lots of people do that, that rely in their friends more than in family, get really close, confident... Leaving your family behind its part of growing up. As well as as a father you should provide the conditions to that liberty.
