They still had chemistry. You can see it in the way they dug into each other. Most notably after first and second break-ups, and when they tried to get their marriage annulled. It's almost as if the break-up gave them both a backbone to not hold back on each other. Especially Ross who always acted like a puppy dog around Rachel but after the 18 page letter from Rachel he turned into Cujo trading barbs with her. I mean he went savage on her especially with the whole annullment thing. It was hilarious!🤣

That reminds me of when I started watching Friends a lot during 2006-2010 (I still watch it, but that was around the time I started watching it a lot, I think) I found it very easy to forget it was the 90s, as I was watching it "now". I also found that most of the references could translate to present day (like movie and song references - even if they came from the 90s, you could still make references in a 2000s, 2010s, 2020s, or later show.)
