@27:15 Heated Joe O’Brien is my favorite Joe O’Brien. He has a way of being annoyed that is SO hilarious to me. Edit: also I DESPERATELY wanted them to compare the invitations and request exemplars to the hand writing from the night floors invitation that Neal received last season.

Hahaha - Why is seeing Joe being frustrated so incredibly entertaining? Is that the oldest sibling in me remembering that feeling? ... and combined with the absolute and unstoppable joy that washes over Troy's face when he's the cause... so much fun...

I was just struck by the thought that with all the linking back to the previous investigation 20 years ago, nobody has looked into the architecture of the building!

I love how Joe handled the "Did we bring our invitations" thing - if the Player thinks their character honestly would have done it, then he's cool with it! A good middle-ground there is to call for a Luck roll - in this case I would have done as Joe did though: having all the invitations in one place just moves the game along faster. But Luck rolls in CoC and DG are a great mechanic for stuff like this (more so in CoC where luck can be burned, and so your luck percentage decreases over time). Really great GMing in this episode!

I love the Purson name drop! Can't wait until they realize where the name "Barbas" comes from... And to be fair to Bobby, Wist is such an unbelievably unlikable character the way Joe portrays him (and this isn't a dig at Joe - I think it's a brilliant portrayal), that as far as I'm concerned, anything hostile the PCs do to Wist at this point would be deserved. Aggressively antagonistic Know-it-all NPCs deserve a special place in NPC hell :D

Movies never get international jurisdiction right, a country can launch a joint investigation with another countrys law enforcement sure, but movies usually take some (a lot of) liberties with that concept. Interpol is commonly portrayed in the same way as FBI in the US swooping in and claiming that its their case and Interpol has no such authority. Its intellegence sharing, international extradition and warrants and work with or as a go between with national law enforcement. the staff of interpol is comprised of rotating police officers from participating countries. Foreign law enforcement when they are allowed to be on the ground as part of a joint investigation is always in an observer capacity and not allowed to go armed. The legal and diplomatic headache if your citizens are killed by foreign police in your city, yikes

The King in Yellow, waiting at Big Boss Battle site, checks his watch. “They should be here by now”, he whines. “What taking so long?” Meanwhile, somewhere else, Agent Makeshift sings “maybe it’s Maybeline?” 😅 This is how I know GCN is authentic role playing. When you have that one session when no one is on task, but everyone is laughing and enjoying themselves. Great job M-Cell!

Love Troy but dammit that rp with him constantly leaving would frustrate all our group so much. Especially i think was unfair that Joe just let him find the note inside the invitation when it's Vicki's special thing. He could figure out the dots thing, sure, though I'd say it's a stretch since Roger was just drinking at a bar and didn't mention anything about looking into the clues, but I'd let him have the dots thing. However, the note inside? Unfair to Syd and her character, in my opinion.

your comment implies that you can roll both a 10 and a 0 on the d100 which obviously isnt true. also, if you could roll both a 0 and a 100 on a d100 there would be 101 possible outcomes! On a d100!
@Nercrontyr
@Nercrontyr Жыл бұрын
@jacobtorti1486 Thanks for the reply. i should have been more specific. First it would be 2 dice being rolled not 1. Secondly i referred to a d100 and not a percentile die which is what i ment to say. Its much different as it isnt a golf ball haha. So yeah youu would roll a percentile die which is like a d10 but the faces go up in increments of 10s. You would also roll a d10 next to it to get the individual ones category so a 1 on the d10 and a 10 on the percentile will be an 11. That way a 0 +00 would be 0 while a 0 and 10 would be 10 etc etc.
