@@saintonfire77 What I mean by your 'Golden Age of videos' is that the period from 2015 until very early 2017 is what I consider to have been your best work.

I had a therapy session today and it went OK. I like talking to my therapist, he is a friendly Christian fellow. We only meet every four weeks for a 45 minute talk session. For some reason it is nice having a someone who is a professional Psychologist to talk to who is also a Christian. I have my good days and bad days. I have come to see more and more the absolute need for prayer. Living in a state of prayer so as to get from one day to the next. Also my days are few and soon I will be in Glory. peace

Thank you for your video Jonny. It looks like an amazing book sale for book lovers. I wish I was there. I am in the process of reorganising my library. I donated over 150 books, mostly to the local church charity bookstore. I like that book store as their prices are similar to yours hence reasonable. Some other charities charge twice or three times which is a shame. So now I have little room to acquire some books. I can’t wait to hear about your newly acquired books. Peace brother

Books can be found in libraries if one does not have space for a library. I do not know why we have been blessed with space for books. A mystery to me. Why aren't we homeless or living in a place where there are no old used books to buy. It is all beyond me. I am humbled to the dust by the Lord's blessings. peace

Wow, an impressive collection for sale, and at a reasonable price, in my estimation. Thanks, Jonny.

I think the prices for the books are reasonable. I bought today some real great hardback history books for two dollars that go for over thirty dollars new. thanks for the comment.

Whoa! Those are high prices. I thought our library charged a lot, but yours wins. Looking forward to seeing what you scored from that sale!

How much does your library charged for used books? How much should a library charge for a used book? a library withdraw used book? Is two dollars too much for a used hardback? Is a $1.50 too much money for a used paperback? I find if I go to a used books store I spent a lot more for a used book like up to $12.00 dollars or more. Even used books on Amazon go for over ten dollars if not more. I have bought over years for two dollars a used book that would cost me thirty to forty dollars in a bookstore. It is difficult decision what to charge for used books when all the money goes to support the programs of ones library. I often buy from the Book Nook a new book for two dollars that goes for $25.00 dollars at Barnes & Nobles. I personally would like to give books away for free, but we live in a world where libraries can use money from the sale of used books. peace

@@saintonfire77 Based on where I live, yes, I think $2.00 is too much for a hardback. Especially since I know a lot of booktubers who pay a quarter. (same for paperback). Now if you live in an expensive city, then I understand the higher prices. Is your library not being funded enough via local taxes? What is the extra money going towards? Which programs are being funded? It sounds like you got triggered and all I was doing was making a simple comment of a fact I noticed. Is paying two dollars better than a amazon or barnes and nobles. I never said I wouldn't pay $2, just that it's more than my library. 'peace'

@@BookZealots There aren't library bookstores near where I live, but at Goodwill book shop for instance, the price for a used book is minimum 3.50. I'd gladly go to a place where I can get books in fairly new condition for two dollars. I'm not that broke and I've got no problem forking over a measly two dollars especially if its for a good cause.
@BookZealots Жыл бұрын
@@panzerblitz2140 That's fantastic that your goodwill has books. Mine doesn't. I didn't say I wouldn't pay two bucks for a book. I said the prices were higher than my library and (based on what I've seen on booktube I thought my library had higher prices than everyone else), and was surprised that Jonny's library was more expensive. Were you offended by my comment? Or was it misunderstood? I wasn't being snarky in my original comment. I was honestly just surprised his library is more expensive than mine.

If the condition and variety of the books are anywhere similar to the ones you normally pick up then I’d hate to think how many books I’d pick up - easily 200.

Yes it is easy for a book lover to buy tons of books. I do not know how many books I buy over a year's time but I am sure over 200. But I am becoming more selective due having more than enough to read. peace
