I think the high-school Rachel is back a little in this scene, only this time she meets her match: a street-smart Phoebe who wouldn't let her get away with it haha. Phoebe never finished high-school so it's very rude that Rachel used her like this, so I'm glad that she got her revenge and reminded Rachel that she had changed now.

I wish we do these books in school. I've read JANE EYRE it is a very captivating story, I ordered for Hamlet and I'm sure I will love it too, read small story lines about Ophelia's death, Laertes killing, Hamlet and Polonius etc.

Hamlet is my personal favourite! The tragedy, especially the part where Ophelia is mourning her dad's death and she's kind of covered in flowers and stuff for some reason, and I just especially love the tragedy in that scene

I love so much about these two clips. What Rachel did was kind of a dick move, because doing well in class meant so much more to Phoebe, given Phoebe's past. And then when Rachel says it's "ahead of its time" and the teacher infers she's talking about feminism... the first time I saw this, I thought Rachel was going to go with the feminism thing and Phoebe would get burned a second time. But instead, Rachel stuck to Phoebe's notes. In that moment, not only does Phoebe get her revenge, but the writers solidify the fact that Rachel _really_ doesn't deserve to excel in the class. Not only didn't she read the book, but she also couldn't read the room. If all you're looking for is praise from the teacher, like Rachel is here, then for the love of God, just agree with the teacher. We can sympathize with Rachel in other situations in the series, but in this particular one, the viewers united behind Phoebe.

That doesnt mean you simply steal ideas. I was a quintessential nerd in high school and college and a lot of Rachel-type people have tried to mooch answers off me. Initially, I was all nice about helping out my class mates. But it soon became clear to me they are just lazy. It got frustrating seeing other people enjoying the fruits of the hours I spent reading, researching and preparing answers. By the end of first semester, I stopped being a nerd and became a bitch.
