@@124Eline For Elizabeth and Mona, Rachel didn't directly cause a problem but remember when Rachel told Ross to stop dating Jill(her sister) because it felt weird but when Ross was dating Elizabeth, She started dating Elizabeth's father. And for Mona, she caused problems by telling her father Ross didn't want to marry her(even though he offered to). Mona had to hear everything from from Dr Green's shoutings which caused the problem in their relationship. And I agree for Charlie though. And you know Susan right? She is the one whom his wife he married for 7 years cheated with. And not only that, she even tried to take away his authority for Ben and Referring him as just as a Sperm donor and not a father. Anybody in his situation would be uncomfortable. Ross's insecurities are caused because of Carol. He has his flaws but his situation is understandable. There’s two reasons why they hadn’t figured this out sooner. First, Ross was good at pretending that Susan leaving him didn’t bother him. And second Ross never acted unreasonably jealous before Emily. With Julie, he was never jealous, and with Rachel his jealousy seemed justified with how strong Mark kept on hitting on Rachel in front of him. His paranoia only stemmed from Carol. She was really the only one who brought out his insecurities because she’s the only woman he’s ever truly loved.

Something no one talks about is that Ross was used to being put on a pedestal by his parents; he was seen as perfect, couldn't do wrong and be wronged. Seeing Carol cheat on him was probably the first time in his life that he realized he was human and was not safe from being hurt after all, so he had a hard time adjusting and was deeply affected by it. Meanwhile, all the friends have been cheated on and betrayed but they were so used to it that they just move on and let is pass, but that's also the same reason why Monica and Chandler, who both had toxic childhoods, worked hard in their relationships and didn't allow the past to get in the way of something so precious.
