I’m very thankful for Josh and Isi because they taught me the true importance of communication in both romantic and platonic relationships. I used to normalize biting my tongue and holding things back in order to avoid stepping on people’s toes, but (contrary to my old beliefs) that’s toxic. When you let things slide you’re doing yourself a disservice, as well as your partner because you’re secretly building resentment towards them for something that could’ve been corrected if you just simply communicated how you felt. I’m 19, and I haven’t experienced romantic relationships yet, but I’m glad that I have insight on what a healthy relationship consists of for when I do start dating.
