I mean, I read that the writers thought of that plot twist around Ross and Emily’s wedding, thought they would try Monica and Chandler having a secret affair, play around that for several episodes, but the fans loved the couple so much they rolled with it So no pre-written chemistry

Even when it was decided that Chan & Mon would hook up in London, the producers had no more than a brief fling in mind. However, the audience loved seeing them together so much that it turned into a lasting love. 💙🩷
