My fan theory is that Carol, not Rachel was the love of his life; and he somehow managed to convince himself that he was such a bad husband that he turned Carol off to men in general. We all know that’s not how it works, but in the’90’s, that’s how some people thought. Losing Carol made him so self-conscious that he became awkward around women. He was so desperate to prove that he could get and keep a woman that he just rushed into a relationship with Rachel before he was over Carol. Then when they broke up, he got with Emily and rushed into marriage with her. As for Rachel marrying him in Vegas, they were drunk.

Russia built and launched the 1st satellite back in the 50s, called Sputnik. For decades after that, nerds would dress up as a potato (spud) with satellite antennae on their head. Creating the 'Spudnik' pun. It's like the pervy guys who'd say they put a potato on their 'member' b/c they were a dictator (dick-tater)

Potato means a Spud refers to sput half name of the satellite and the antina on the head is a device Network Interface Card. So he became Sputnik the Russian satelite

Bates Motel was a great series till they chose to cast a well known character (movie Psycho) with an individual that had no acting talent, and was a different race. Ruined the last season. When people are hired for roles it should be based on how well they fit the character and their talent. Trying to force movies down our throats with characters like a black Anne Boleyn, or a Barbie looking Harriet Tubman, is just a sad waste of everyone's time.
