After Shining Armour and Cadence's wedding and honeymoon, they return to Canterlot blissfully in love but wrestling with mixed feelings about the meaning of 'family' now. After Celestia invites Twilight along on a diplomatic mission to befriend the distant country of Diomedes, Luna is possessed of a 'bad feeling' about her sister's impending trip. She tries to get her not to go - and ends up making a mistake that will affect everyone in Equestria.

Luna feared Celestia’s death, so the choices she makes to avoid it…causes her fear to become reality. I believe that is one of the core reasons Luna’s sanity breaks, causing her to wipe out all of Diomedes, and cause the citizens of Equestria to fear her.

Classic story of meeting the reaper in your town, running to your papa telling them everything and getting money to go to the next town over. Papa goes into town to meet Death and ask what happened. Death says that they were surprised to see the son here when they have an appointment with them the next town over. My dad told ,me that story, months later I got all three Scary Stories to Tell in The Dark series, and in it I saw that same story I was told, but with a slightly different name and different wording.

That was so a Luna pun. And OH. GOD. Seeing what Luna unintentionally unleashed. Twilight genuinely could have died there and if anything made it guaranteed Celestia would lose that battle. My heart just broke. And for the longest time Twilight had to live with the compulsion failed. "I will not accept failure." And stuff like that; ingrained to the subconscious, dictating your actions and willing to give your life; magic or not can't be easy to break. And what if it didn't after several years left to fester? And what if that compulsion changed? "I will not accept failure." "I will do all in my earthly power to protect her." That could have become the mentality with which she approached her friends; intent on preserving what Celestia had taught her was invaluable. And having failed at that too she couldn't accept it because that release was taken from her.

Pinkie pie dead, and rge elements if harmony cannot be used. Omg!! Everything makes sense now. Twilight refusing to leave Celestia made me question in the beginning. Twilight would always follow her mentors orders even though she wishes to stay by her side. But the intense protection made no sense to me then. Now...it does. It was all Luna's doing, maybe if she didn't get involved then things would be different. And maybe we might get answers kn why she was never at the Royal wedding. Who knows but this was worth the wait. Thank you, artists, voice actors and actresses and mostly thank you Scribbler. [SPOILERS BELOW: BE WARNED] So, Luna's the reason Twilight loses her horn and Celestia dies? Holy moly what a plot twist. I really hope Luna regrets what she did when she learns the truth. Also, I recall from ep. 2 of season one that Twilight convinced Luna that Celestia's death wasn't her fault. Does Twilight eventually learn the truth and forgive her? Or does she die not knowing what Luna did? Either way, hyped! Can't wait for more!

Well, I was hoping it was going to be a sequel to the story, but all in all, I was expecting Season 2 to show what happened before the first episode of Season 1, or what happened during that war during Twilight's coma. But despite getting something other than my hopes... I'm definitely not disappointed. The story starts off well with Luna's doubts and uncertainty about her importance to anyone. On the other hand, I don't know how she can call herself Twilight's friend after such horrible manipulation. -_- The only good thing is that I always criticized Twilight for resisting Celestia's attempts to save her during that attack... but not anymore because you explained the real reasons for her behavior. Oh, Luna... I think you still have some part of the Nighmare Moon in you.

And with the incredible art and voice acting and editing, I will definitely be watching this episode again and again! On a slightly personal note: I've been pretty stressed with life as of late. I've done so much crying to the point that I almost can't anymore. No point in getting into details, but I just wanted to say that I think looking forward to this will really help me get through the week and all that. Sadly or maybe not so sadly the epilogue to the original story Friendship Is Tragic has long been deleted by the internet. From what I remember it was mostly Rarity having a hit crew and killing people. Twilight's death did little to change Rarity's personality which was nasty.

What set of Shocking plot twists so this explains Twilights restful to listen to reason when Celesteia tried to teleport her out of harms way it’s due to Lunas concern with a hint of Jealousy not a good mix of emotions 😬😬. But one hand yes Luna unintentionally caused Celesteias Downfall & Death but I do understand the desire to protect your loved ones however I feel her first mistake was going into twilights dreams about her mentor/mother figure. But I enjoyed the funny moments too like Shining & Cadence little lover’s moments 🤣🤣🤣. I hope to meet a girl like Cadence Shining Armors one hell of a lucky Stallion 👍👍. Anyways well done Scribbler you & you’re team deserve all the thanks & love for this project of yours so a prequel to Friendship is tragic looking forward to the future episodes can’t wait ♥️💙♥️💙♥️💙♥️. Luna, you didn’t have to do that. Twilight would’ve died to protect the most important one in her life. If Celestia hadn’t taken an interest in Twilight, the she would never become the Element of Magic and eventually the Princess of Friendship. So I guess that explains why Luna took such special care of Twilight, she felt guilty as her efforts were for nothing; her sister died protecting Twilight and Twilight would lose everything.
