Not bad, but the Friendship ending is weirdly upbeat to me. We're making promises to see our yandere friend again as if she's going to the hospital or moving away, but she's obviously going to prison. I kind of wish we told her off more, maybe it ends with us running away instead of her just letting us go. For what it is though, it's fine.

Happy secret ending: Right when Kayako is about to stab herself and Risa stops her Mio jumps up screaming "happy birthday I'm not really dead guys! Lololololol." Then Risa and Kayako shrug it off until the go into that one room with the mom's corpse and Mio is like "Wtf happened to my mom!?" And the question never got answered.

manly i highly doubt youll see this but.. play again and this time, dont take the bear out of the water and try the ending where Kayoko wanted to swim. the red string is a symbol of fate and attachment and maybe she will see it and a different event will be triggered..

I think Kayoko simply mixed up Mio and RiRi in the ending on purpose? Kayoko only wants Mio for herself, and thinks RiRi is in the way of their friendship. So she purposely did all that to slowly torture RiRi to her death, judging from the photo that RiRi found where her face was crossed off in black.

_More cute girls doing cute things_ I was happy to see another Memories of Fear good old-fashioned horror rpg. The game wasn't maybe great, but it was typical with the many insta-deaths & game-overs. I think the only purpose of you finding & removing the bear from the tub was to allow the one ending with Ri-Ri "swimming". Good job!

+NaturalFlirtGamer While the game-overs were generally instant and made the game almost entirely linear, (the only ending-changing choice is the last one plus some requirements that you have infinite time for and can complete in any order,) I appreciate the window game over. Will a player know it'll be a game over? Yeah, but you can jump out anyways. Just kinda hop over. Swan-dive, maybe. Other comments have noted that the bear contained the solution to the musical note puzzle. The one that was "brute forced" in a single attempt. _"hey, do you know how to, like, defuse a bomb???"_ _"What!?"_ _"nvm i got it"_ _"WHAT!?"_

+Thelothuo Idk what comments you're mentioning, but the note about the puzzle was by the mother's body I thought. Frankly, I prefer the brute force approach MBH used here, because 99 percent of these old games used the 1324 approach, so he just used his experience to solve efficiently. :D And yeah, the window & everything else he avoided were probably traps, but since there weren't any unique death animations, easier to just avoid. The most interesting part of the game was that it was made so easy to jump to the conclusion that the mother hit Mio. After all, the mother was fairly young when she had Mio, so the "you ruined my life" fit. Where in reality in the ending with "Nurse Kayoko" (32:34) it seemed much more that it was Kayoko who probably grabbed her arm too hard every time Mio wanted to go home. And all that "conversation" between Mio & her mother was made up in Kayoko's mind. But Mio still stayed true to her childhood friend. The bruises then give a nice foreshadowing of Kayoko's increasing violent obsession with Mio.

I think all the 'supernatural' deaths were kayoko killing you but Risa veiwed it as supernatural out of denial. I mean she was crossed out in that picture so I'm geussing kayoko was never really fond of Risa anyway.

You just totally skipped the key puzzle. I believe it was poorly made since there was no punishment for an incorrect guess. The puzzle was supposed to be that the message correlated perfectly to the boxes and the was in the boxes that correlated with the word ‘keys’ in the message

It appears that the translator group that worked on this game memories of fear has retired so the original link for the game doesn't work I got an error from it however the downloads to the game seemed to be moved to a different link or site. you can find the link to the site on the memories of fear tumblr or maybe other of their social medias I don't know much about them.
