just wanna drop in and say thanks. as a teen girl w grade 3ish microtia (left ear) i’ve obv never met anyone else with it and even online all the microtia resources i can find are mainly geared towards new parents who are freaked out about how their baby’s ear looks or whatever. that and plastic surgery ads and “correction” and stuff. nothing rlly about the ✨microtia experience✨ or what it’s actually like, from the perspective of someone who has it. and so much of what you said hit so close to home too. ngl i came embarrassingly close to crying watching your last video bc honestly that was the first time i’d seen an adult w an ear like mine. like literally i’ve only ever seen pictures of toddlers w it before, and only online, never irl. def didn’t expect to have that kind of emotional reaction to some random person posting their second youtube video but. guess that’s what good representation does for u :) thank you so much. we’re rlly lacking these kinds of resources and it means the world to me that you’re taking the time to share your experience

Hi! Thank you so much for your comment, it means so much to me, you have no idea!!😭❤️ I felt that we are missing this kind of representation, so seeing someone agree makes me feel so happy. I’m glad we found each other, I haven’t met anyone else IRL with microtia and the one time I saw someone with it I also was so emotional. I’d loved if you messaged me through twitter so we can talk more!! And I’m so glad you relate to my experience, it really shows we aren’t alone❤️❤️

You should definitely make a video taking about how to be a supportive friend to someone who has a birth condition! Or maybe like a "what not to say to someone with a birth condition". Usually people without them do not know how to talk/approach, or if they even should, this kind of situations properly and I think it would be great to spread awareness :)
