I've found that people have removed themselves from my life. They've either moved away, or we had just gradually lost touch, until we didn't talk anymore. My circle is so small, it's more like a dot.

One reason I like your vids so much is because they have so many layers, and I have to keep thinking about what you say to understand more. I’ve been seeing it like this lately. Developing your friendship is like tending to a tree, but developing yourself for the sake of your friendship is like giving the tree the proper environment to grow - more space, taking care of the ground, fertilizing etc. Yeah, you decide what to plant, but it’s work either way. When you don’t handle either one of those things, the tree withers, gets deformed, dies. Trees are useful for fruit and stuff; they’re also beautiful and fulfilling. (And if you think about it, orchards/gardens can grow all kinds of stuff and look cool in lots of different ways...I’m getting distracted.) The point is, people should at least be thinking about the stress old relationships can cause. Even wishing the friendship could be more takes a toll. I had a friend who kept saying he wanted to make time for me, but work, his family, and video games was more important, but I kept getting radio silence and missed commitments. Respectfulness aside, that was cool, but it wasn’t what I needed. These days, finding brutally real, close friendships that inspire you to be your best self are so rare! And it’s probably why we should cherish them when we discover one. Man I can’t wait to see what you become. Keep pushing through!

This seems to be a part of life that many will go through. I've cut off a few people who didn't care what happened with me even if I've been there in tough times for them. Silver lining is that you grow from these experiences and learn whose right for you and who isn't.
