Disclaimer, I just love you so much. Anyway, I always use an Uber when I’m in Cape Town. This one time I decided to be spontaneous and use a taxi from Cape Town to Brackenfell (where I stayed). I’m Tswana by the way and I also don’t know how to speak Xhosa. Just like you I was like “sorry, where can I get taxis to Brackenfell?” 1. My Zulu did not get me anywhere when I asked how much the taxi is. 2. Everyone on the taxi looked at me as though I was speaking gibberish. 3. The taxi driver left me in the middle of a highway after saying he’s not going to where I’m going 🙄 and I asked him to Atleast drop me off at Cape Gate then I’ll Uber from there 😅 the guy dropped me in the middle of nowhere and shame we couldn’t understand each other fully because of the language barrier. That was the last time I used a taxi in Cape Town 😂😂😂
