Averages! Jacob: 5.2828... Dillon: 5.4084... Major: 5.5147... Cade: 5.5922... Don: 5.5686... Jacob has bad rolls throughout MP8 it seems, his average lowered once again. Dillon's average improved a little though. Cade improved his average quite some bit, also funfact: he is now the first member to roll over 100 dice in total (throughout MP8). Don's average lowered a bit, giving Cade the lead.

I think the boards in 8 are better than they are in any other mario party game. 8 has motion controls and that sucks. Also for the cutscenes, you at least have some agency in those. As for 5, the boards are boring, it doesn't have any stand out minigames, and the cutscenes, are again, boring.

Alpharad I never really liked the boards in 8. I know you like the monopoly one but it always drove me nuts when I played it as a kid. Same with Mansion and Train. I will admit that while watching this series, 8 has a lot more good minigames than I remember, but a good chunk of them still really suck. And again, motion controls, I get it. That was their selling point. As for 5, I still proudly say most of my favorite MP minigames come from there. Coney Island, Chimp Chase, Leaf Leap, Pushy Penguins, Hotel Goomba, Frozen Frenzy, all of these legitimate skill based games with very little luck involved, and that's just 4v4. But I'll still admit that there are plenty of bad ones. And yes, Future Dream sucks, as does Rainbow and Sweet. I still think Toy, Undersea, Pirate (on 50 turns it's a ton of fun) and Bowser are pretty good. Looking back years later I still like 5 and 8, but I feel like they're more similar than a lot of people remember. And it's weird to hear such strong differing opinions from you guys on them.

Yeah the last 5 turns in 8 is definitely the weakest in the entire series barring 9 and 10. All that happens is that the host (depending on the board) gives the last place player a Duelo Candy which isn't even that good considering you actually have to catch someone and win the duel itself on top of that. And the only other "special" thing that happens is that a small amount of coins appear on each space. That doesn't mean much either especially on a board like this.

Here's my review. MARIO PARTY IS THE WORST LOOKING MARIO PARTY OF ALL Mario party 8 is really interesting, different. The maps have really interesting ideas that could be really interesting but they are not well implemented. The minigames are interesting, but motion controls.
