One of the details I love is when Frieren kills Draht she says "That's one" as "Ippiki" which is a word that's used to count animals, truly not seeing him as a person. Savage!

The whole concept of Demons vs the possibility of communication is one of the most fascinating concepts introduced in anime in these past few years for me. Nowadays we are taught to avoid violence and attempt communication with empathy to resolve conflict. Introducing intelligent beings that use this facet of human nature to deceive and kill us is elegant and brilliant. Not overly complicated but it just works so well.

First of all, I'm a little sorry if my English is a little strange because I don't understand English. Also, please understand if this seems like a long post. The words Himmel said, "is so you won't be alone in the future," are great. I think it was a line that Himmel spoke lovingly towards Frieren. The English title of Sousou no Frieren(葬送のフリーレン), Frieren: Beyond Journey's End, has a different meaning. The 8th episode was the title collection episode of this anime in Japan. Sousou(葬送) means "funeral" and refers to saying your final farewell to the dead and sending them off to the crematorium or cemetery. This has a double meaning as it is used not only for allies but also for enemy demons. Frieren was cool. Frieren killed the demons in no time. By the way, the pronunciation of the "A" in Aura is closer to "ʌ" than to "o".

@@Svenreactions There is memorable media, and then there's that very special short list of media that you file away in your brain, ready to give to your children when they get to a certain age. This is one of them. It's a masterpiece that will undoubtedly stand the test of time. Even those who don't really like anime will enjoy this series, particularly because it isn't like most anime. I found out after watching this reaction that Atsumi Tanezaki, the voice of Frieren, is celebrating her 34th birthday today.
