Frieren The Slayer/Sousou no Frieren is actually the title of the story in japanese and not Beyond Journey's End, it's a wordplay that means both "Frieren at/of the Funeral"(which fits episode one) and "Frieren, who sends one off to their funeral"(which is the nickname demons gave her), so the localizers just went with yeah ok we can't fit all that into the "Sousou no Frieren" voiceline so they went with The Slayer

yea, but unlike "the slayer", a direct translation makes her nickname ACTUALLY terrifying, considering its demons who gave her that nickname.

Fun little fact about the Japanese language, they have different words for counting different things. Different words for counting people, objects, livestock, food, etc. When Frieren kills that first Demon in the jail and says "one down", she uses the word for counting small animals, like rats.

Nah, she just said elves lack romantic feelings or reproductive instincts "across the board". Meaning that *all* elves are aro-ace.

OK there are some random German Words here, I can translate if needed, just ask. Lord Lügner means Liar, and Himmel eighter Sky, or Heaven, Draht means Wire, basicly his Tool of Combat. Linie just means line. I guess her abilitys make a B line towards her targets? Dont know. Fern means fare. German is quiet similar to english in many ways so im not sure whats obviouse and whats not. I guess fern sounds more like Fin?

@@RobertLutece909 Ah yes ma grammar, sorry. it means fare away. Oh yeah thats right, Frieren means freezing in the sense of feeling cold. Not tonconfuse whit gefrieren for something freezing solid.
