It says a lot that I prefer watching Yvonne's videos more than the often depressing world news videos. I feel transported to a happy and relaxing place, watching Yvonne care for and talk to her horses and dogs. Although I don't own any horses, my youngest daughter and I have 3 medium large dogs. They are part of our family and we have a dog-human type of communication. Sometimes I think they are smarter than we are, because they understand our spoken language (English in our household) and of course they are teaching us their canine language, what their oral sounds mean as well as what their body language means. Sometimes they look at me like "don't you get it" . But they are patient teachers. 😆 🤣 😂 Also, I have learned a lot more about horses because Yvonne explains what horses are feeling and communicating to us. I laugh a lot at the antics of Risey and his friends RJ and Pieter and of course Johnny, Sjors and Waloubet. Watching beautiful Uniek and the other mares is so amazing too. They are all so caring to their colts and fillies. Oh my, I could go on and on talking about them!

Oh wow! This Reintjie really likes to get pampered! The shaving, hoof oil, the braids, etc. like being in a spa, all the attention! I notice that Queen Uniek still has her butt facing Waloubet. 🌤️🌿Awesome to see how well-behaved the horses can be with each other. Aww...it was nice to see Uniek have a short moment to see ⭐Risey before heading outside. That was interesting to see how Yvonne prepared Reintje by shaving her butt end before she gave birth to Teije. Reintje looked fabulous afterwards along with her hooves being glossed over with oil. The horses are looking great with all that's being done with them. Goedzo to Yvonne & the Friesian herd barn crew. It's amazing to see how much each horse has grown up through all the different ages to now going through their training to become that awesome horse for someone. ❤️ Love getting to know the personality of each horse in the herd through watching these videos. They are all beautiful in more ways than one. Rising Star loves his mommy Unique, and he always well. I love how they acknowledge each other! Yvonne and everyone takes such good care of the horses, no matter if it's shaving butt hair or whatever! I guess it is more comfortable for them to lay down and roll in the sand, than in the meadow. I guess because it's softer.

What a loving hello between mother & son Risy may be all grown up and sharing a room with his buddies but he’s still Uniek’s little boy I love seeing them still connect even in these small moments it’s beautiful to see them. It always amazes me how most animals, no matter how big and strong they are, often have something quite innocuous that stops them in their tracks. Like the horses and mounds of dirt or mud. I read where many sheep will not step into a puddle of water because they see it as a hole they will fall into. Luckily they have, at least in this case, a loving human friend who they trust to get them safely through it.

I still get amazed at how sweet the Friesian breed is. All of those young horses are so friendly and well socialized. Stal G does a great job of teaching basic skills starting at a very young age-like being tied up. They’re also well socialized to humans. I’ve seen so many other stud/breeders (not Friesian) where the 1 year olds are essentially feral, and their backing takes so much longer. And I also love how the breeding mares are still very skilled working horses-not bored, untrained brood mares unaccustomed to humans and lacking in mental enrichment.

@@pamgrat5126 yep same here. But I've liked Klaske since birth and noticed her lovely head then and it hasn't changed. So I concentrate on that and it helps.

@@suzettetrickey288, I'm the same way with Rinse Janko. I don't know why but I can tell him and Pieter apart as easily as telling Risey and Rinse apart LOL. I'm curious to see if that keeps up over the long term when there's just the two of them to tell apart. Though as I'm typing this, I realize that the boys won't ever be integrated with the larger age mate herd. Hmmm. Oh well, lots to learn! Gratz on identifying your favourite still. I know it's a thrill when you guess correctly and have it confirmed by the text appearing on screen. 👍

Klaske stands out to me as well. She has a very gracile head and is just lightly built (for a Friesian) over all. More of the “sport” type than the baroque that is favored at Stal G.

Now you made me go check for butt hair, and all my horses have them, and I fell like I have missed a step in my grooming🤣 They are however all geldings so I will just call it manly hair and leave it as I can't be bothered to shave 7 horse, and two donkey bums. It is after all Sunday😄
