True, but he'd also burned up a lot of energy and sustained a fair bit of damage, plus wasn't used to the form. So there was no way that he was going to be able to use it to it's max potential, as opposed to Frieza, who had prolly mastered his ultimate form, even if he didn't use it often.

I felt your pain guys, I know that Goku letting Frieza go 100 is crazy, stupid even, but through time I understand it. This what Goku wants. He knew that Frieza reaching full power was his only chance to win. To fight him at his best, to beat him, to avenge Krillin, and to protect the people he loved.

Goku wanted to beat Frieza at his best, so that will be a humiliation for Frieza, as in he still couldn't beat Goku, a monkey saiyan, at 100%; his self-esteem would be low and he's beaten to pulp. Total humiliation, best revenge. In japanese, after the knee strike at the end, Goku said "Is that all you've got?" Goku was just testing Frieza's new power. The japanese dialogs make more sense.

Super Saiyan makes Goku more aggresive. I wonder as a Super Saiyan, whether the Nimbus would still allow Goku to ride it ... and if you guys watch OG Dragon Ball, when Goku wants to humiliate someone he would allow them to unleash their full power before he completely crushed them bare handedly.

The anime doesn't represent Goku's character very well. Goku doesn't fancy himself a hero at all. Being a hero is a sideshow, what he really cares about is a good fight. That's why he let Vegeta live, not because he sensed any goodness in him. He let Frieza power up because he wanted to test out his new Super Saiyan powers.

The reason Goku lets him go full power is because he wants to not only beat him phyically but also mentally because if Goku prevents him from going full power and beats him, Freeza will have hope thinking that he can beat Goku when he is at full power and will go after Goku and his friends and Goku wants to prevent this by making sure he has no hope into beating him.

As to why gohan couldn't sense bulma it wasn't cause she was too weak (sort of). The planet dying and all the disturbance had gohan unfocused he could have likely sensed his dad and frieza due to their overwhelming power. As for goku. He's struggling with his morals right now. Logically anyone would say "just kill frieza" goku wanted too but morally he is not a killer doesn't matter who they are or what they did it's just not who he is. But he wants to murder frieza. But his compassion still remains. So he substituted the idea of killing frieza with beating him at his best. If frieza loses at 100% frieza the hope in gokus mind is that frieza will cower and never challenge goku again and goku would be the strongest and everyone would know it.

At this point they are very much equal in power, Frieza might even be a little stronger. However, Goku has only begun unlocking the SSJ powers and Frieza has never really used his 100% power in a sustained battle. Goku is also more disciplined with his power, Frieza is not. It's easy to do the math, but I do not subscribe to all the unofficial power level scales at this point. I consider it non-canon because it's not stated in the anime/manga but Frieza 100% is stated in outside sources at 120 million, SSJ Goku max is 150 million.

Definitely. I don't know what people see in Super. Even GT has better fight scenes and sound effects, and storytelling. The only people who love Super, are the same people who love PJ Mask, BeyBlade and Pokemon. As I said before, Z is like organic food and Super is like plastic made in china.
