That’s why I went to 1 Halloween at magic mountain & never again. It was a mediocre experience. Universal has the best designs (especially the Orlando location) .

I agree..The actors remind me of when you think you see a friend and approach them but realize it's not them so you play it off and disappear. Not much scares at all but great visually

not too bad! ill never not love the smoke with lasers creating a layer actors can hide under...also while at times you can kinda see the low budget aspect...I LOVE that the actors can just speak and scream and all that with their own voice! so much better

These look fine for first timers to haunts, but they look like they spent all of their budget on the licensing and skimped on the scare actors.

These people who volunteer at regular haunted houses just hang around and chat/hang out but you literally paid to get scared so most likely these theme park actors are paid so they take it more seriously

Set designs seem pretty solid. Actors can be hit or miss though and it’s hard to blame them at times some of the scare setups don’t do them any favors

Like 90% of them were using their own voices in this video and speaking to guests. Still felt a bit odd though. Wasn't expecting them to literally cross the guest path and block the way on occasion.

The issue is the rooms are too big, if the corridors were a little tighter it wouldn’t be half as bad

The Conjuring, Texas Chainsaw massacre, and trick or treat were the best licensed haunts, but the original haunts by Over texas were excellent. And I do not scare easy, but the jump scares had me 😮

Out of all the IP houses, The Conjuring seemed the most put together. The laser fog in Trick 'R Treat was genuinely a great effect that I hadn't seen used before. I think the original houses were some of the strongest with great theming, decent actors, and the most actors over all. They all seemed like they were having fun!

Glad we didn’t purchase. They only offered fright fest express passes the day we went in at $110 each. The scare zones in the park were good enough.

Yep! That's what happens when you are have a non movie production company in charge of hiring "actors" for these events. Whereas the actors for Universal haunted houses (in FL and/or CA) seem way more legit.

It’s OK right now of all the maze, but it doesn’t look very very very scary so conjuring and there nautical hunt or wherever that called it is terrible. It’s not doesn’t look scary and doesn’t look terrified, but it looks OK but it doesn’t look like extremely scary so I say that Halloween hornets at Orlando they did amazing because of the conjuring/insidious did amazing because I was there yesterday at Orlando of insidious further, and extremely scary

the ones that did do “their part” were really half assed and you can tell the novelty of “getting to volunteer!” wore off and thus were unmemorable. All the trained/paid ones were very dedicated to their post and I had memories of them all even after all these years.

@@Emlane09one big issue with doing IP houses is the actors are stuck doing what the character would do and are not able to be creative in their scares. That can be ok in some cases but in most, people are so desensitized to it that the scare, and house, fall flat. Now, the scare with the Nun picture was clever and I did like it, but I wouldn’t rely on it.
