I was so disappointed this year. I had spent $40 for the haunted houses, waiting in line for Texas chainsaw massacre for 2 hours and they didn’t give us any information that it wouldn’t open at all. Then we tried getting in for stranger things and the house was shut down. Saw closed after 30 minutes due to technical difficulties. The estate was not letting many people in. Barely saw any of the scare actors till witching hour and as soon as we saw them by rue le dodge a chainsaw actor pushed me into a corner and I fell. I scraped my knees and bruised part of my wrist. I had to walk while blood was pouring down my leg to the EMTs who helped disinfect my leg and wrap my wrist. I went back to guest services for the 2nd time and they told me they can do nothing about the actor and just to reach out to corporate. I’m reaching out to corporate about the pushing and the haunted houses. I left after going to guest services for the 2nd time. Super disappointed in how Six Flags Great America handled opening night. I’m glad you were able to go through Stranger Things, I wish it didn’t shut down again after waiting in line.

I'm sorry about you bad experience!!! Yeah the haunted house situation was a bit frustrating because none of them seemed to be opening on time.

Fright Fest is our favorite time of the year! Great America is our home park, and try to go at least a few times a season. We wanting to make it up for opening day, but know usually not all houses are open and things need to be worked on. Riot Fest this weekend and Fright Fest next! Looking forward to the Stranger Things house.

Yeah, there were definitely some technical issues with the houses on the first day. But I agree Fright Fest is amazing!!!!
