I’ve never seen a frightened flying fox in their reaction to it before. I love seeing him clapping his wings together and then displaying them to make himself look big and impressive! I have seen how horrific netting constrictions injuries can be, and it is extremely painful-excruciating! The funny thing is flying foxes don't really have the problem of bonding to humans or failing to learn how to survive in the wild because they're so much more strongly driven to socialize with other bats compared to humans. They can be really friendly to humans but they almost always prefer other bats. If they need some time to get back to wild speed, they hang out with other bats for a while in an open enclosure and then just leave when they're ready. They're intelligent enough to pick up everything they need to know even if they missed the time they would have naturally learned it.

Thank you for showing us because while I have seen Big Wings, I have never seen this clapping (sort of like a threat to grab you).
