I was homeless when I heard the news on the day, I live in a 300k house now and am doing ok... This shit will always, til the day I die hurt, rip Scott. You saved a lot of poor bastards, and a lot of poor bastards would of given it all to save you... I hope endlessly you found your peace..
@masonslie11462 жыл бұрын
@@blaketurner7989 never to this day will I ever understand why he killed himself. As a Christian, I do not believe in suicide. I believe as humans, we are we ment to suffer. Suffering is a part of life. But I will never understand what what was going through his head when he decided to end his own life. Either way, I hope that Jesus was waiting for him at the gates of heaven. Much love from a Protestant American.
@masonslie11462 жыл бұрын
Yes!! absolutely!! I was waiting for a response like yours. I am a Protestant Christian( Presbyterian) myself and I do not believe I suicide either. I believe that no matter how hard your life is or no matter how depressed you are, just being alive is a gift. And as long as you are alive, there is hope. There is hope and a chance to turn your life around and change your life for the better. It is not easy but as long as you're alive, you can change your life to the way you want it to be. I don't believe in suicide because as you said, we as human beings are meant to suffer. Suffering is a part of life. As a Christian, I believe that of course life can be unfair and that God gives his toughest battles to his strongest soilders. Me myself grew up as an orphan. My mother tied from AIDS in 1990 when I was 5 years old because she was an IV drug; heroin drug user. My dad died a few years later from a herion, cocaine and. Alcohol overdose. I was raised by my grandparents who tried thier best but were emotionaly abusive especially ( my grandfather) I tried to commit suicide when I was 13 from taking a bunch of aspirin, not once but twice. Here I am now to tell you that no matter how hard life is, as long as you are alive; there is hope. There is a chance to turn it all around. Life is a gift, just being alive is a gift and as long as your around living on this earth, you have a chance to turn it around and have a wonderful life. Suicide is not the end. Suicide is the end of all hope. REMEMBER THAT

Wee bit of driving up the A82 next to Loch Lomond, then one of the parking areas in front of Bidean Nam Bian in Glencoe, and the start of the path up. Then a bit of Rannoch Moor (you can see Buachaille Etive Mor in the background), and also a bit on the shores of Loch Lomond again.

It's a shame that the charts are full of crap. People just don't know about this kind of music.
@sirGiedion10 жыл бұрын
Katie Herron ..except for the 75K who have viewed this video ;) ..but yes, I know what you mean. it's a big shame they don't get more recognition. but then again, some bands thrive on being 'underground' as clearly they do have a lot of fans, but perhaps they are just content to be where they are.. which is fine with me. Just means the music might be harder to find, but once found, it stays "real" that much longer. enjoy it and spread it to those you know ;)
@MsMineCraft7210 жыл бұрын
Yea I get that. Sometimes when bands or artists that were previously relatively unknown become 'big' they can lose their charm and even be clouded by their own fame. By being 'underground', as you put it, it feels like there is actually community. It's because of this feeling that makes the music 'real' for longer because you are listening to something that seems like a guily secret, only to be shared with those who stumble upon it.

While you read to me from the riot act way on high, high, Clutching a crisp New Testament, breathing fire, fire. Will you save me the fake benevolence, I don't have time, I'm, Just too far gone for a-tellin', lost my pride, I don't mind. Being lonely, So leave me alone. Aw, you're acting all holy, Me, I'm just full of holes. Well I can dip my head in the river, Cleanse my soul, oh. I'll still have the stomach of a sinner, Face like an unholy ghost. Will you save me all the soliloquies? Paid my fines, I'll be, Gone before my deliverance. Preach what you like, cause I don't mind, Being lonely, So leave me alone. You're acting all holy, Me, I'm just full of holes. Full of holes. Don't mind being lonely, Spare me the brimstone. Acting all holy, When you know I'm full of holes. Don't mind being lonely, Don't need to be told. Stop acting so holy, I know I'm full of holes. Full of holes. I don't mind being lonely, Won't you leave me alone? Are you, oh, so holy, That I'll never be good enough? Don't care if I'm lonely, Cause it feels like home. I won't ever be holy, Thank God I'm full of holes. Full of holes.

Jesus, that's a poignant video. I wonder if Scott came up with this idea. A reoccurring theme in his work. A self-fulfilling prophecy, it certainly feels like in many of his lyrics. Obviously that 'one' song. Great song. Great album. As are all the albums, especially 2-5. I'm really curious about Scott's romantic relationships post his infamous breakup that inspired 'Midnight' album. Does anyone know? I feel like if he was with someone he may not have done it. Or if he had been through another difficult breakup. I'd love to know if anyone does. I'd really love to read a biography about him and the band. A whole book. I wish someone would write one. More and more people are going to come onboard. The music (and lyrics) is just too fucking good for that legacy not to grow.
