it's crazy to think how much of an impact this song has had on me and my life. I was in sixth form when this song came out not really sure what I wanted to do with my life or where I should go next. It inspired me to try to go to university and do a course I loved...not just what I thought was sensible. I chose an environmental conservation degree with no idea what that in reality could mean for my life or just a way to avoid getting a proper job for a few more years. After I graduated I ended up doing a generic recruitment job which I hated...again this song helped me realise that I needed to get out, so I saved up enough money to go and volunteer at an environmental charity doing something I was passionate in and wanted to feel like I was really contributing. Fast forward to today, eight years later, I support governments in trying to raise their climate ambitions to hopefully make a difference. Yesterday I decided to get 'tiny changes' tattooed on the inside of my arm. Frabbits entire back catalogue means the world to me, but this song just resonates on a whole new level

@@grahamsamson4271 blessed? You know that that’s a notion Scott would have mocked. His music sounds nice… but the message behind so many songs was abysmal.
@squeezybox Жыл бұрын
@@carolinafine8050 I always got the impression Scott wasn't the mocking type... he sung openly and honestly about his struggles, in a way that's pretty damn rare for a Scots male. I've no doubt that alone helped a lot of people in coping with their own situations.

I spent the day yesterday reminiscing over and appreciating more than a decade's worth of music. You can never focus on just one song with this band. I did find myself coming back to this one several times. I love everything about this video. I love how the camera focuses in on each of these individual kids- from the boisterous and crazy to the shy and timid. I love how it highlights how each of these children have their own rhythm their own dance. I love the quick scans by the rules posted on the walls. It's so subtle, but it echoes the song perfectly. We are all different, but we all have our unique rhythm and voice to offer. We all make our "tiny changes to earth" while we are here. Scott's gift allowed him to make "tiny changes" in a countless number of ways for those that loved and were inspired by his music.

The first time I listened to Frightened Rabbit I was on a plane, terrified and depressed as hell. I thought I would never be okay again. Their album Painting of a Panic Attack, which I listened to for the full 8 hours there and back, helped me through that time, and the rest of their music has been a comforting force in my life in the few years since. This song brings me great peace, but sadness in knowing that we don't all come back from the darkness in our minds. Thank you Scott and FR, you really saved my life, and I'm determined to make tiny changes while I'm still here, too.

Scott: It’s not really aggressively anti-religious. I don’t believe in any particular religion myself. But I think it’s more to do with the fact that you can’t live life relying on the fact that there’s going to be more afterwards. I think that’s more of where my belief stands, and it’s more like believing life is your chance to actually do stuff, as opposed to living it so purely that you hope to get a chance to get somewhere afterwards.
