Luke 8:17. So another words you are afraid of OsiRis & would take SET's position? unknown/KH/hidden/nameless/ET is the only thing which can fix the situation so yes it's a "danger" to the oligarchy rigging your environment. Better to plan ahead/beyond but hey what would I know.

I don’t think it was meant to be a “great” line. I think it was intended to be terrifying/unsettling. Think about all the heinous things that have been done historically all because of a fear of the unknown.

Definitely had influences from it with the whole concept of the kid. The kid is basically Kei from Akira except vastly more advanced in evolution. The thing that Fringe kept hammering home again and again was that for all Walter's mental capabilities, it was his emotion that saved him from becoming a monster - a literal evil scientist. Likewise the Observers as a people had basically become the thinking monster of Walter's fears, with Olivia as a person driven powerfully by emotion capable of incredible things when using Cortexiphan. Those 2 forces are the polar opposites of thought/logic and emotion in Fringe. The implication being for me that Michael, an intellect greater than the Observers, with emotional capacity greater than humans would be capable of feats when combined with something like Cortexiphan that could only be identified with gods by lesser beings. Such a people would have no need of tech like the Observers use and could probably solve whatever problem had made the future unlivable in the first place.

For a dude with no emotion he sure fears a great deal.
