FRINGE: Now That Olivia Remembers Peter and Her Timeline, Is Walter Next? Josh Jackson Weighs In

On the set of FRINGE, series star Josh Jackson (Peter) talks with GiveMeMyRemote.com's Marisa Roffman about whether Peter's next step is to help Walter will get his memories back.

My thoughts exactly. It's really logical and simple. I can't understand how come some people don't get it. This is what the writers are trying to imply. That these people, love each other so much, that no matter the TL, no matter the memories, they will always find each other. And they are always the same people, regardless of the memories or the lives they've had. The idea of the soul is very important for the writers.

Not to mention she was all too eager to reject the memories of alt-livia, even though being genetically identical you would expect those to stick, she didn't reject her blue timeline memories because they're HER memories, they implied that pretty early on when she said that she always felt like her life had a big hole in it, and who wouldn't prefer to be their happier self over a frownier loveless version? Her sub-conscious love for Peter brought him back in the first place too.

At least Josh is straight forward about it all. It probably baffles the ast all as well, if he and John had to "try" and make that Peter/Walter moment about Peter accepting Walter as much as Walter accepting Peter. He makes it sound like they really do make the best of how the season has rolled out. As a massive Peter/Walter fan, the loss of the S1-S3 P/W relationship makes me sad.

Walter does get his memories back of the original timeline in Season 5.

I always find his interviews refreshingly straight forward and honest. I am really dissapointed that the writers have just glossed it over, cause i did feel that in 4.17. Also if the characters getting their memories back "wasnt really what the story was about this year" then they have wasted 15 episodes

I think if they don't address this any more then they massively dropped the ball. Why even bother having Peter disappear in the first place? It sounds like it was just an excuse to have a do-over on characters like Fauxlivia, Peter/Fauxlivia's baby, and a bunch of other crap. The issue of why/how the hell the Observers "deleted" Peter, and fixing the world to be back to where it is supposed to be is a HUGE one that I am intensely interested in. If they simply ignore it, that's LAME :(.

LOL Olivia chose to be overwritten for a man? hahaha oh Josh, you're so sweet, but you didn't get it. She chose to be herself again, the original one, the original Dunham. She chose that life because it made more sense to her. So she chose the one it was intended to be. She didn't just drop this memories for some others just because there was a man there that loved her. Yes, he was a big part of her decision, but this is not what it was about. It was about finding one's purpose in life!

The writers let people indirectly explore the possibilities a little to much with out more clear explanation. I have a feeling Jones is going to start the time traveler and that is why we need Olivias memories back to stop the machine. Jones will decimate the 2 universes then peter will get into the machine and go back into the past where everyone remembers him or takes the credit for saving the world this time. But then again this is Fringe so we will see. Please season5

this video has me a bit baffled...either josh is fibbing so as not to give away the finale or the writers completely dropped the ball if they just "glossed" over the memory loss of peters relationships with Walter/Walternate, Astrid 1 and 2, his moms, Nina, etc. etc. Yeah he has Olivia back which is awesome, but I'm thinking it still isn't his home and that Olivia is temperarily in this Olivia to bring him back! lol...i want a blue screen season finale!

True. The show mas much more exciting when there was hope for Peter to go back home, but now... i dont know ...the only one concerned with deleting olivia's memories was Lincoln,but that ship has sailed..I don't like Evil nina, and I don't like they brought Jones back.The explanation of how Peter got back into the timeline was terrible. After all we've seen about paralell universes, and the future ! (please go back to that), the standalone episodes are really boring. The show is dissapointing me
